Dear me, that's one of the most pathetic comebacks I've seen since mixed infants What next, 'nur nur ne nur nur' .............
The inevitable response of someone who can't think of an answer ......... run along before we feel sorry for you and pat you on the head
I don't actually think so mate. He thought he started so well, failed, and it all went downhill from there.
A word of caution if I may? Hull have just given Spurs a hell of a fright. Came damn close to beating them on their own turf. That`s bloody good going imo and if we`d done it there`d have been positives shouted from the rooftops. I don`t know what Bruce is doing down there but, whatever it is it seems to be working. They may begin to tire later on Saturday which is something we might be able to take advantage of. I think we have a chance of getting something from the game but we will have to be careful. Don`t forget Bruce knows a lot of our players well and to underestimate Hull would be a serious misjudgment. We may feel a backlash and imo it won`t be an easy match by any means. Just being realistic here. We can`t afford to be over confident.
Very true, will be a very tough game. But there are factors that could go in our favor so it's only natural they'll be discussed, we didn't ask for the Hull lot to come on taking exception to what are very valid observations. I for one want to carry some confidence into the game. I'm an optimist at heart and carry it into every game the best I possibly can. I'm a believer and make apology to Hull fans who take exception.
There's a fine line between valid observations and simple condescending ****e. Though, I just tend to ignore the crap that gets said and focus on having proper footballing discussions with like-minded opposition fans.
But they are valid observations. I'd much rather play you now than say 4 games ago. It's not condescending, it's common sense, we've been awful but just come of a weeks rest after a derby win, our first win. Hull were picking up lots of points 4 games ago but now results are going against you, you've had a long midweek game that's knackered out your fringe players which could affect your impact from the bench and you're struggling with injuries. If that's condescending I apologize but i promise you, it's only based on my own logic. It's by no means an easy game for us. But it is the best time for us to play you I reckon.
My post wasn't accusing you of being condescending, just the overall impression based on some posts by others. You do make some good points, but: We've had no home games this month, which may be why we haven't picked up points. We're unbeaten at home (2 Wins, 2 Draws) with only one goal conceded. Our away games have been very, very difficult (Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham) and we managed to come away from St. James's with 3 points. We matched Chelsea in the 2nd half, deserved something from Manchester City, Everton and Spurs. We haven't lost because of performances, a lot of refereeing decisions have gone against us (i.e. dives from Torres and Nasri leading to Free-kicks that were scored, harsh penalty at White Hart Lane and Barry's offside deflection). We're very hard to beat, have a solid and resolute defence and scoring against us isn't easy. That's probably the reason we've conceded so many spectacular goals this Season because teams have resorted to long-range pot-shots.
You do realise, you're coming across as complete ****ing tool, you're on our board and you are very welcome too btw If you think it's fine to have a few cheap digs and unfunny put-downs, then go ahead. As for your opinions, you are welcome to express those too, but do adjust your manner.
