Feel bad for Elmo, but great game to watch. Our reserves are a lot better than I thought they would be at this level. They showed when call upon they can put in a good shift and really frustrate the opposition. Just wish they had at least gotten the win

 

Nope, only Elmo and Mcshane. Elmo seems to have lost his composure and technique over the summer.

Jesus Christ I think we have used up our entire luck for the season playing you guys. Not that it's any consolation to you but that's our first penalty win in 20 years so probably why the team were celebrating so much.
Good luck for the rest of the season you have a really good side and manager there and if there is any justice you will get all the luck when we play you at your ground.

Unlucky twice in a week on the same ground with the same player taking the knocks. That doesn't happen often.

Good luck on the weekend against Bruce's old club. You definitely deserve some after those performances.

elmos had a nightmare this past 4 days

 

Cracking effort by the lads against one of the top 6. Need to keep heads up for Saturday.

 

Dunno how you can blame the keeper on a penalty shootout.

And as for some people blaming Elmo for missing. You are joking aren't you.

 

Oh come off it. If that had been our strongest side, then fair play I'd have given it to them. But it wasn't and yet they're celebrating like they've won the bloody thing. It's pathetic.

 

Think you are a bit harsh on the keeper, loads of shoot-outs I've seen over the years where the keeper has no impact. Funny how people guessed Mclean and Elmo would miss, you weren't alone!

****ing knew Elmo would bottle it... urgh. Thought we had a chance when Walker stepped up.

I will say, however, that I was really impressed Spurs' penalty takers (Lamela aside obviously), to have that many players who can take a good penalty must be a real bonus. Anyway, good luck for the season to Spurs.
