I think this extra time malarky is good. Whenever Spurs play crap we should make them play an extra half an hour afterwards.
I remember when I was younger Arsenal picking up trophies by playing boring football and winning 1-0 and think to myself, I could put up with this if it meant Spurs actually win something. Now I'm not so sure.
If anyone cares, Sevilla pulled it back to 3-2. With one of the worst pens ever given, to even up the shocking madrid pen.
Defoe had to stay onside there. So frustrating. I know I'm being miserable tonight but this is the culmination of a season of watching this type of football coming out!!
This lone striker nonsense has to go. Can AVB not swallow his pride for the sake of a few goals? A good manager has options. (Comment on BBC Football Live) I absolutely agree with this. I remember a load of us giving Redknap absolute hell when he persisted in playing the "lone-striker" game and got nowhere with it, week in and week out. Only when he reverted to playing with two strikers did we start to see some proper action. I don't mind AVB playing the Barca "tippy-tappy-possession-in-midfield" game and employing technicians such as Soldado to take advantage of the many opportunities that are placed at his feet to exploit; but whilst all of that is still in the process of developing I'd like for our manager to have at least one other tactic up his sleeve that he can use to change things when we need to. At the moment, he looks like a man without much of a clue.
