Spurs need to win this game 3-0., so as to partly extract AVB from the cavernous hole he's dug for himself.
Bit of a panicky moment from Friedel, but it spared Davies' blushes. I think he thought he was still at our end. Game seems a bit more open now, and I think it's benefited us to have to bring on a forward for Bruce Jnr in the first half. Think this'll finish 3-1 to you, though
I haven't seen to many shots of it, but my first thought was that it was just. Why do you think it was unfairly given?
This buggers me up completely. Okay then, we are not as good as I thought we are or as I thought we would be. My patience has snapped. I said anything less than 3-0 and I wouldn't be happy well fat chance now. Come on Spurs ffs.
But his arm was out, and prevented a perfectly good cross from reaching the box. There is no rule for it not being a pen for bouncing off your leg
His arm wasn't out any more than you'd expect, it was a completely natural movement. The ball was blasted at him from 3/4 yards, hit his leg and deflected onto his arm, never a penalty.
Apart from the fact it therefore changes the trajectory of the ball, therefore making it impossible for then handball to be deliberate... The ref even called Brucey to apologize. If that doesn't say 'no penalty' I don't know what does. Anyway, let's not bicker over this. It was given and that sadly can't be changed. Let's focus on this game now.
Does it need to be deemed intentional then? Don't mean to "bicker" my friend. I havn't seen MOTD or anything so just wondered. Just ignore me if I am distracting you from the game!
Well, isn't handball meant to be intentional to be a foul? Like I said, when the ref calls up Brucey to apologize, you have to pretty much accept there that it was a poor decision. MOTD2 is on iPlayer if you want to have a look. Lawrenson and Owen have a good look at it post-highlights.
