Just read on a twitter stream on the Norwich Cty football writer website that Grant Holt is having a bit of a dig at Hughton again. Anyone else heard about this and/or got a link for more info?

Yep have seen it on the daily mail site. Glad he has come out and said it, he is just telling it how it is. Holt is a city legend, something that Hughton will never be. I just hope the board take notice of these comments because something is very, very wrong.

Holt said "Under Paul Lambert we used to attack and press and be more high tempo. We scored something like 32 goals in the last 15 minutes under him at Norwich. He had the enthusiasm and attitude, ‘You score two and we’ll score three’. As a forward, I was getting chances and people were around supporting to me.
Chris Hughton was much more defensive. He wanted to do everything in shape but I was a lot more isolated and doing more defensive work than I did.
It’s a team game and who am I to dictate what I want to do? So I did my job for the team, I achieved what I wanted to at the club and Norwich stayed up – which I hope they do again – and I thought the time was right to go.
They’d signed lads to bring in and if he wanted his own men in to play his style that was fine."

Holty changed for the worse the second CH & his staff walked through the door.
It was a real shame to see him leashed last season, you could see his frustration in nearly every game he played.

He may have been leashed but he still managed 8 goals under Hughton's pathetic system, none of our forwards will manage that this season. Quite honestly if you are a striker it's career suicide to sign for us now.

And Hooper joined us to try and get in the England team <laugh>

I reckon they showed RVW some videos of when Lambert was in charge and he thought, oh yeah I'm up for a bit of that!

40 year old virgin has more chance of scoring than our forward line!

Classic case in point being Becchio, who contrary to popular belief, is still at the club. So last night, despite being on the bench, a less than fully fit Gary Hooper gets brought on at the end, but no sign of Becchio, who must be wondering wtf he ever did to deserve to be treated like scheisse.

People may of liked PLs attitude of lets just score one more than them (not sure thats quite true anyway) but that is not very sustainable in the premier league. You must have a good defence! People always seem happy to ignore it and are only interested in scoring goals but all the top teams have a good defence. Things did have to change although I concede CH may not have the balance quite right yet.

And all of you who are so anti CH who is so much better to come in to take his place??? Can't say many come to mind and havent heard anyone with a sensible suggestion.

So now we can't score goals and are still conceding goals at an alarming rate! That isn't very sustainable in the PL is it? Goals win matches.

as you know, you won't find many bigger fans of holty than me, but i have to say i do find his little outbursts rather silly and he's at it again here. let's not forget that holt wanted to leave the club while lambert was still in charge. a few people on this forum know why holt wanted to leave and it had nothing at all to do with football. it is quite obvious that holt didn't see eye to eye with hughton and didn't enjoy the role he was asked to play last season but it had no bearing on him wanting to leave - yet he is only too happy to stick the boot in because now he thinks he's an easy target. i find that pretty sad and more than a little disrespectful to the football club and with every comment like this he makes he takes a small piece of the shine off his career here. his place as a norwich city icon is assured but he really should keep his mouth shut now. which of the two men are currently plying their trade in the top division? it isn't holt. as for bringing in strikers - nobody forced them to come here - in fact, i think they've all said that hughton was a key reason for joining. maybe the people whose agenda is so visible in the comments above should remember that.

Have never liked ex players having a go at their former club/ manager. Get on with scoring goals for Wigan and if you want to show Hughton, score a few against us next season, hopefully with both of us in the prem.

So having an opinion that differs from your is having an agenda? I'm sick of Hughtons anti football and my opinion and any others that share it is as valid as yours.

Clearly it is not. But we did have to change our style for a long stay in the prem. Goals do indeed win matches, stopping them at the other end stops you losing matches. It is of course about finding a balance.
