Very true. The Geordie thing couldn't have been a surprise to him, he took the job despite it. He knew some people would be upset but said it didn't bother him. Blaming the Sunderland supporters, in any way, for his failure and departure isn't fair.
To be fair, the only people still listening to Bruce on that score is the Hull fans, they seem to hang on every word.
Hang on a minute, who shoved 'official' on the end of my thread title? This was a **** thread and now it's been deemed official and people are posting team news, injury updates and football related stuff ........... don't think you ****ers can drag me down to your level!
This is a big game for all the right reasons - if we win it we will well and truly up and running. A loss won't put us back to square one but it'll go a long way to diluting the feelgood factor post-derby.
Aplogies to everyone but this thread is now closed due to circumstances beyond our control. Please contact the website if you require any further information.
Apparently 2 of their better players (Aluko and Brady) are unlikely to be fit...does this mean another 5-4-1 formation with Bruce's son at the heart of defence (never rated him much, especially after his outburst against us) and also Meyler playing? Plus Huddlestone hasnt scored in 2 years...suppose that means he is against us!
Aluko and Brady are doubts, but it's only Wednesday, there's still a chance both with play. Bruce has only played once in the league and that was only because we had seven out injured, he won't play against you. Neither will Meyler, he's not in our starting XI, but he's likely to be on the bench. We generally play two up front, fitness allowing that will be Aluko and Sagbo, central midfield will definitely be Huddlestone and Livermore, out wide it will be Brady(again assuming he's fit) and Elmo, the defence is likely to be Rosenior, Faye, Davies and Figueroa, with McGregor in goal.
Huddlestone + Livermore vs Colback and Cattermole...not often you get an all english central midfield battle! could be very interesting! Personally hope Brady and Aluko stay out mind! that Sagbo doesnt look a bad player mind Hopefully Meyler is on the bench, have seen bits of Livermore and found him good but think Meyler is far more of a threat Elmo against Dossena/Bardo will be a worry though
He will be on the bench, but he's only actually started one league game this season and that was only because we had seven players out, he normally comes on for the last 5-10 minutes.
It's the skill of Huddlestone, alongside the work-rate of Livermore, that makes them such an effective partnership.
