Yeah Nice One! The difference is that the Utd team you refer to was at least a 100 times better than the one your lot faced last night!
that got me thinking - this team was quite similar to the one that drew 1-1 with Tottenham back in January: Bunn 02 R Martin 05 Bassong 06 Turner 18 Garrido Booked 04 Johnson 07 Snodgrass Booked 12 Pilkington 14 Hoolahan Booked (Howson - 81' ) 27 Tettey 09 Holt Booked And last night's team was arguably better than the one that beat West Brom in May: 01 Ruddy 02 R Martin 05 Bassong 18 Garrido 24 R Bennett 04 Johnson 07 Snodgrass (Tettey - 76' ) 08 Howson Booked 12 Pilkington 14 Hoolahan Booked (E Bennett - 77' ) 09 Holt (Becchio - 86' ) Though I would emphasise it was also very similar to the team that lost 4-0 to United away back in March... #Hughton'sAGenius
You say team but what you're really comparing are the players quality. A team inferes that they are playing together with some understanding and common goal. I'm not sure that could describe last night's collection of players! Bah!
That's not true, they all wanted the same thing - to get off the pitch as soon as possible. I would say there were roughly 11 weak links in last night's team we can fix some of them: Garrido (Olsson), Whittaker (Rusty), Johnson (Tettey), Wessi (Howson), Bunn (Ruddy) but I'm not sure who I would play alongside Turner at centre half, Bassong has been so suspect... Would actually like to see all of our strikers involved, at least if two upfront really doesn't work then we will all know and people will stop complaining that we are too negative.
