I thought it was a decent enough game and, as you say, the last 20 minutes were very exciting.

Our possession and passing needs to be addressed though, too many first touches getting away from the player! I would have taken a point before the game though....[/QUOTE]

Does anyone else think that our build up play is often too slow. Teams have worked out that if they get bodies behind the ball it is easier to stop us playing. Better to mix it up and for that reason Anya must start on Saturday. Hopefully Abdi back too along with some positive results.

Watched the game on Sky. The draw was fair overall, but goals can change games and if our second had been allowed things may have been different so was gutted at what I thought was a good goal (much easier call than England's 3rd against Germany in 1966!). I lost interest for a bit but the last quarter of the game livened up a bit and our sub made a difference, but why didn't Anya come on and scare them?

Brighton defended well and obviously had a game plan to stifle our play. We also defended better than at Derby so some improvement there but there was a lack of spark from Deeney but he could have been played out of the game by Brighton's tactics and probably not 100% sharp. A game under his belt will be good for him. FF deserved a goal for effort, persistance & frustration!

Why the Brighton bloke didn't get a second yellow I don't get, he was deliberatly stopping a player entering the penalty box.

So another phantom goal, why can't we do what Cricket, Rugby & Tennis do and stop the game to decide on important decisions using video playback. It slows things down a bit but personally I find the analysis interesting and adds to the game as well as get a decision based on the available facts for all to see. I would like to hear what the officials are saying to.

Anyone notice that the ref had a deformed hand, just out of interest?

No one's mentioned Doyley who seemed to have great positional sense and made some terrific blocks. Gave the ref some great lip too!

I have to say a big thanks for this link farwest - by far the best and most uncomplicated to use that I've come across. <ok>

Even though the Indians have just taken their first Aussie wicket.... :(

Zola's choice - he loves the rotation system, particularly in the last line of defence where we have so many options - Doyley, Brown, Ekstrand, Belkalem, Angella, Cassetti all competing for three positions. We also have Nosworthy and Hoban coming back from injury who both play there too.

I am sorry to say this farwest, as I know you are very interested in his inclusion, but on the few games so far Belkalem does not look up to the standard of those around him. I don't like to make a judgement on so few games so I do hope his performances improve.

I would say at the moment, with all being fit, that Angella, Ekstrand, Doyley, Hoban, Nosworthy and maybe also Cassetti would be ahead of Belkalem for one of the three centre back positions

Hi Goldentrue and thanks for your opinion about Belkalem..

just let me try to justify his avarage performances .

first there's the language barrier ..

English is a foreign language for us since here the second major language is French. so i think he's not yet totally confortable with his new way of leaving.

add he didn't do the preparing offseason because at that time he was playing the military world cup with Algerian national team, and i think it was the main reason that Udinese' coach didn't kept him in the group

then add the two training sessions per day in UK while in algeria they only do one session per day.. but after few months i believe he's going to be better than he's now. i'm sure it's just a period hje should go through it :)

PLZ GUYS if you have any new pictures of Belkalem just send them to me i'll be grateful :)
