Does anyone find this strange.... http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2373846,00.html Given that we pretty much sell out every home game, i'm surprised these are even available Or am I missing something here
I'm presuming that half of your fan base have now diverted to the lighter-blue of MercCity therefore STs are available to any man and his dog?
I'm surprised that this is now the case but I think it's starting to hit people in the wallet. I have managed to get two season tickets for next season as I know two people that were giving theirs up very reluctantly as they just couldn't afford it anymore. I asked to move initially from my old seat but had to change the name instead as club policy is now that you can only move due to medical problems!
Incidently, what's your price range for STs? Do yours just cover league games with cup options available depending on tiers/membership levels?
My season ticket has gone up from £830 to £800 in the Matthew Harding Upper tier. The cheapest are in the Matthew Harding Lower tier and they where about £650 last season so must be at least £700.
At the end of last season I was really keen to buy a season ticket, but did not have enough loyalty points. This season I went to a lot of games in order to build up enough loyalty points and ended up with almost 100 which is way more than enough. But I just couldn't justify paying the price considering that the tickets I would buy as a member throughout the season would end up at half the price the cost of a season ticket. The only benefit would be priority tickets to away games and Cup finals.
so,...are the season tickets on offer for for superior positions or something then.... If they are not (& it seems the ones they are offering are all over the ground) what's the point, (apart from the away & finals thing) if these tickets don't get sold - presumeably they will be on general sale as the games come up You don't even have to be a member to get these...! Very odd
When I lived down there I could rarely get to a game due to money, let alone a season ticket... Now I'm doing reasonably well, I live in ****ing manchester and they can't give the ****ers away
