If I knew everything I oviously wouldn't be on your forum asking you what songs you sing! <laugh>

What are the words out of curiosity? As I said, it was being sung in pubs, and drunk people aren't known for the clarity of speech.

Your lack of knowledge about Arsenal songs does speak volumes, but the words to this particular eloquent expression of the joys of being an Arsenal fan are 'Ooh to be a Gooner'

If often thought it could be used as an instructional chant towards yids - 'Ought to be a Gooner' <ok>

Jesus wept. I can't believe you've written that when you're writing on a thread that's been written for point scoring and when you yourself have already used it for point scoring in your own thread.

Do you even realise what you're saying sometimes?

genuine question...I thought you wrote that we were wrong to call ourselves and our players the "Y Word" as non spurs supporting Jewish people found it offensive. I think you said that it was not for us to claim that it was ok for us to use it regardless of our intent when using it...so why is it ok for you to use it?

there is no malice in the question ... I am just confused as at the time you wrote that you were NOT arguing your point of view as a wum attempt but your use of it now suggests otherwise

Well then that makes me very happy, as I originally thought it was "Ooh" only to be corrected by my cousin who I was watching the game with...a gooner no less.

So I may have looked silly on an internet forum (not for the first time) but I can tell him he was wrong. <diva>

Nobody has actually told me any of the other songs you sing at matches though?

I wondered if anybody might pick up on that ... I'm playing Devil's advocate really, but if non Jewish fans of a club that has a Jewish following are allowed to use the word, then as a non Jewish Arsenal fan I'm well within my rights to do so ....

I didn't complain at you using the word...I asked why you said we are wrong to refer to ourselves with the Y word but then used it yourself...
you should be a politician...nearly 50 words and you didn't answer my question!

I didn't say you were complaining, I think you're inferring intent where there is none <ok> Also I haven't ever said you are wrong to use the word Yid, what I've always said that is if you allow non Jewish fans from one club to use the word, then you cannot ban other non Jewish fans from other clubs from also using it. There are quite likely to be more Jewish Arsenal fans in attendance at the Emirates on any given saturday than there are at WHL.

you should trust what is written at face value...I was not inferring any intent...I was asking a question...

in November 2012 you wrote these comments:

All racist and derogatory chanting should be targeted.
Even the chants that are meant 'nicely' and have been 'going on for years'

At the end of the day, LDL is right. It's racially motivated chanting and regardless of the intent, it's not acceptable in modern football grounds. Spurs can't have it both ways, if they want fans prosecuted for anti-semetic chanting, then they have to take responsibility for their own fans part in this.

I guess at the moment then, for Spurs fans to ignore the obvious racial motivation behind this word, we will have to consider you 'unenlightened'.

they came from this thread and were taken from pages 4,5 and 6 ... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/177858-Racism-Focus-At-The-Lane/page6

now all of those suggest that the Y word should not be used particularly the final one where you end it with the word unenlightened.

so please don't throw mud around about me implying intent and misrepresenting what you wrote...you clearly thought we were wrong back in November 2012 or you were wumming so my question was valid.
It weren't a dig, it was simply a question as I was interested.
I was joking when i said you could be a politician but actually you have come across as disingenuous as any politician on question time

Why don't you just apologise for using the word and move on? Devil's advocate is no excuse. I know from your posting it was out of character, but the term should never be used that way.

It raises a valid point. If non Jewish Spurs fans can use it legitimately then you have no right to chastise others for using it either to be honest, but I agree let's move on ....

and discuss AVB saying your fans are crap <whistle>

I am calm...only real things stress me out.
I just don't get why you won't answer a question. I quite enjoy debating with you but You come across quite dishonestly sometimes, and superior...and you never back down even when you are wrong. There's no problem with being wrong...all of us are at some point but instead of answering my question you came up with smoke and mirror comments about playing "devils advocate", about me "inferring intent when there was none" and claiming you "never said you (spurs) were wrong to use the Y word"
I guess it's this side of you that winds people up so much...for someone who professes to look down on wums you behave in a very similar way... enjoy your thread

I think you're tying yourself up in knots without realising. I've answered your question three times now. I'm not 'wrong' - I'm raising a valid point for discussion, albeit one that makes you feel uncomfortable, I would suggest because the claim for legitimacy for using the Y word for Spurs fans is also on shaky ground.

Not sure where exactly I've used it for point scoring.

Your comments are strange at times.
