Next few games will show as I think they have liverpool, united and southampton all coming up. I heard a stat that the average league position of the teams they've played so far in the league is 15th!! That explains a few things, they've yet to have a top side away from home yet and they've only really played Spurs of the top 6-7. Chelsea and United have played 3-4 top sides each.
All that means is that they've got the points from those games really, they lost against Dortmund but they are a quality side and Arsenal fielded a certainly weaker team last night. Their squad depth or lack of really showed last night. Your lot were able to field quality while resting quality. as for playing the weaker sides, Chelsea had some fortune beating one or two of those and didn't play that well
I am not slating your lot drogs, Villa? Do you not think Terry's handball was a peno? Little bits of luck like that make a difference, most would think you'd have Cardiff anyway but that non goal had an effect on Cardiff, who knows, had that not been given they may have pinched a win or a draw though it seems unlikely
I know you're not. I think it was difficult to tell whether he did it on purpose or it was an accident, he was being held down as someone was jumping over him at the same time as trying to jump too, his arms were bound to flail. I thought you were talking about Cardiff to be honest, which was a slice of luck, however winning 4-1 is not lucky and the keeper would've seen red had it been disallowed.
I did say most likely you'd have won anyway but it's no guarantee. Anyway the point I was making is that it is not all that easy to pick up all the points against the lower teams. Ask United
I am more interested in United. We should go for (and be able to get) the 3 points this weekend to make ground on the leaders. If we do that we will reel at least one of them in. Wenger as usual miscalculated. Playing Bentner and the Japanese player on the R midfield severely weakened the team and encouraged the chavs. They were completely toothless and had no cutting edge whatsoever but by the time they introduced Ozil and Giroud it was too late. May be Wenger does not rate this competition, but surely getting beat at home by the chavs and Maureen of all people can be good for the psyche. Agree that Bentner must be one of the worst strikers playing in the premiership at the moment. Total waste of space and money...Arsenal might as well play with 10 men and they will probably be stronger...
If Wenger could have he'd have left out his entire first team, but the FA would have thrown a minifit #league'sthepriority
for playing bottom 10 clubs in 8 out of 9 matches !! .. but then again Liverpool fans have no logic at times
