Well what a game ! Well done Leicester.

At least it was a better performance than the dross of Saturday albeit a much different team. Leicester have been playing well this season and scoring freely and this was a great cup game.

Senderos as usual was a liability and Taarabt lost a good opportunity to show what he can do.

Ah well, we can concentrate now on the Premier league and another mid table team battle this weekend.

If Hugo hadn't had to go off, if Bryan had a right peg, if Madonna had turned up on the night, if...

Can the last person out switch the lights back on please!

Madonna would probably have been more effective than Taarabt to be honest.

For anybody who hasn't seen them, and wants to, here is a video clip of the goals:

Cheers for the highlights C58, I listened to Gentleman Jim's commentary and it sounded like a cracker. There was a bit of dodgy keeping for their 2nd goal and Senderos didn't cover himself in glory with the woeful gaff.

Looking at the positives, Hugo took both goals well - hopefully his injury isn't serious. It sounded like Riise and Hughes had good games, looking forward to seeing the full highlights.

I had a cheeky bet on Leicester to win in 90mins, so I'm not totally devastated with the result. At least we can now focus on premiership survival. COYW

best team won on the night in spite of the changes and really i doubt that we will play you next season because we are going up and with that defence you are down with the palace

Unbelievable, even for you. I presume you'll be wearing a United shirt at the weekend? Why not just support them all the time if you don't Fulham to win games? Glad to see your spelling is as 'compentent' as ever.

Curious team selection. After the debacle against Southampton I would have expected us to pick as strong a side as possible. The fact that our best outfield player, Amorebieta, was missing suggests that Jol was deliberately playing a weakened side to give games to squad players, rather than dropping people for playing badly. All I've seen of the game is the video Cottager posted above, so I'm in no position to comment on who was good or bad, but I think Jol got his approach wrong in putting a team of reserves out. It means we/he have probably learned next to nothing from this in terms of preparing for the difficult run of games we now face. I hope he wasn't thinking, 'I might get sacked if my full strength team goes out to a Championship side, but no one will blame me if it's the reserves.'

That last sentence is the kind of anti-Jol paranoia that has infuriated me for months when others have written it. What am I becoming?

Was typing something similar about team selection. Why on earth do not field a team formation that you want to try? Only Jol knows.

Don't agree we should not fight to win something out of these games. It's a way to Europe.

He is sacked anyway if we receive a battering against a Utd team that is struggling for their standards.

Come on Fulham. Can we beat Utd? Yes we can...

It was great to see rodders get a run out yesterday. It must have been infuriating for him to be sitting on the sidelines watching our recent performances. So fair play to come in and score a brace and put in a shift up top. He sounds like he had a great game. Disappointed not to see Chris David but I suppose if we're winning comfortably that may have happened.

As for team selection, that team should have been fighting for their right to be playing week in week out. Ironically our 2 regular starters had the worst games.

Not too sure how many more times I say to myself that hopefully we will get out of this slump soon. I desperately want the team to start performing but on recent performances it is hard to see that happening. I have accused the players of needing to stand up and fight but more and more I am being drawn to the dark side of anti jolism. Who knows may be we will go out and smash united this weekend and the players will be elevated to heros.

Keeping the faith but wavering with the management !!!!

Makes me think that he lives on a different planet. Does he look at the statistics? Leicester battered us from the first minute with many more shots. He can download the Fulham app and check the stats they had far too many shots compared to us and managed to balance the ball possesion as the game progressed. But a surprise results might be on the cards...

Whilst i would love us to take 6 points from the next two games I feel it may be unlikely.

What worries me most is that we are up against the 4 best strikers in the league over those two games and certainly the best partnership in the Liverpool game. With our defence the way it is I can honestly see us getting two hammerings, which will do morale in the camp absolutely no good.

If we did get thumped in both games it may just be the catalyst that moves Jol on, and I see on twitter that #jolout was trending last night with several people tweeting directly to Fulham (some of whom are followed by the official fulham account so they must be quite well respected).

I'd be sorry to see him go. I think he's a decent guy and a proper football man, but something is just not working for him because, when you look at the talent in the squad, they should be doing way better than they are. I have had a suspicion for some time that the coaching staff he has are not up to it. We've been on a steady downward slope since RL left.

It was a good typical cup game, with both sides going for the win. It reminded me of what we used to do to bigger teams when we were in the lower divisions.
I'd like to see the foul given for their freekick again as I didn't think it was a foul.
But some of the defending was poor, Blunderos seems to have slipped back into giving teams a chance in every game, and as we've said before Riise has lost pace and his defensive quality has always been suspect, put that along with Kacaniklic playing in front of him and just marking space and not putting in tackles, there is a problem on our left hand side.
Can Hugo do that against the Premier defenses ? If only Boateng could lose giving silly fouls away he'd be OK, Taarabt was trying to win the game by himself he's got to learn when to pass. Zverotic had a steady game. But again both Duff and Hughes suffer from lack of pace. I suppose my MOTM would go to Karagounis for his assists on the goals and the ripper freekick. Schmicheals kicking was good, he gave it more air and accuracy , but Stekelenbergs kicking most of the time was flatter and shot past players for them to be able to hold it up.

Thought considering our poor form the numbers who turned up and got behind the team was good. But people who have been going away for years are starting to get despondent and think about giving up traveling to so many. Can't see many traveling to Liverpool or Everton with the prospect of a thrashing, myself included. Most can't see Jol getting the sack or walking away, but I would say it's split 50/50 so far for those who want him sacked now and those who think it's more to do with players not playing to their potential. For me it's a bit of both.

I think your biggest problem is you have too many players who are lazy without the ball. Very naive at times, i think you will have a difficult season but you have enough quality to keep you up. Craven Cottage has always been one of the hardest places to go

Still was a great game last night

All the best for the season lads and hopefully see you next season in the prem <ok>

Thank you Proud_Fox. It was a cracking game although at the wrong end for us.

That's our assessment exactly... It would be great if you could provide a couple of examples from what you saw yesterday.
