Johnson's evening might not last long... Looking at our bench, it'd have to be Howson on, which will change the balance in midfield somewhat.
Both full backs committing for no reason as well. Not good. Need to get redmond on the ball as much as possible looked our only hope so far.
I'd thought the same. He might be trying to get forward more than usual, but if anything that's not helping.
This is one of the flattest midfield performances i've ever seen. Fer looks uninterested, snodgrass anonymous, johnson ineffective, Redmond wants to do it all himself. Nobody offering anything for wes. Coupled with the full backs having poor games and elmander playing on his own against 2 of the best centre backs in the premier league this is looking dire. At least bunn has had a good game.... Needs some energy in the middle, would bring on Howson for fer and murphy for snodgrass, let murphy and redmond switch wings and have a real go at them
"Despite the visitors looking composed and neat in possession, Johan Elmander has found himself isolated up front." Hmm... I'm sensing a pattern here. Is this really as bad as the bbc updates are suggesting?
