    I love it.

Ronaldo has since taken to his Facebook page to express his anger, writing: "This shows clearly the respect and consideration that Fifa has for me, for my club and my country."

How can he play football when he is so far up himself?

It is probably why this happened ... whilst he was looking in the mirror touching up his coiffure.

Thats spot on, I bet he gets his own mirror installed at every club hes at.

The most self obsessed, preening footballer in the world.

Anyone with half a brain would have come back with a quip about Messi spending hours getting his hair right after games but he cant because its actually spot on.

Well in view of this obvious handicap, I think he deserves both Gold Balls this Year!

I'm not too sure how Blatter's comments disrespect Ronaldo's club or country.

You will go a long way to find Two bigger arseholes in world football.

    They deserve each other.

For goodness sake, can no-one say anything funny anymore for fear of upsetting someone, somewhere in the world? And Blatter felt he had to make an apology! He should have just said, "Get a life".

I've seen half a dozen or so genuine world class geniuses play live in my life - George Best, Bobby Moore, Johann Cruyff, Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, Zidane, Cantona, Marco van Basten, Diego Maradona and Ronaldo. He may be a twat but he is a great, great player and I would love to see him playing in England again. Haven't seen Messi live yet.

Stanley is my all time favourite but that's all to do with QPR and even I can't put him in the world class genius bracket...sadly.

Those 2 things arent mutually exclusive. He will always be one of the biggest pricks on football, I dont care if he scores a hatrick in every game in his career. Hes still a prick both on and off the pitch.

Id rather watch another player over him simply so I dont have to see his constant diving, whining, faking injury and whinging to the ref.

Me too. Can't stand the man. I don't care who he plays for or how many goals he scores.

Thing is, humorous people can say outrageous remarks and get away with it, and people in a position of power, giving comments within their sphere at an official presentation, should consider that their comments hold significant sway.

Blatter was asked to a debate at Oxford University, in his official capacity as head of FIFA.

If he had made a humorous remark about a person from a different sport, that’s less of an issue.

If he was down at the pub with his mates, making mocking comments about Ronaldo and was overheard by a journalist, less of a problem.

But he was making an official presentation as head of FIFA.

He is an intolerable blood-sucking parasite, who is constantly putting his foot in his mouth, doing irreparable damage to the game of football

Don't ya just love the PC Brigade !

I think this was perhaps the most constructive comment from Blatters entire career as head of FIFA.

As regards Ronaldo, he's a grown man (and one who benefits from enormous earnings and a hugely privileged lifestyle) who has the adulation of possibly hundreds of thousands of supporters but apparently cannot accept a minor quip at his expense, then more pity him and shame on any lickspittle who whines how terrible it is to make such a harmless joke.

Ronaldo is arguably the most dedicated footballer in the world. He's constantly looking to improve despite being such a phenomenal player already.

Yes......but with no sense of humour, no ability at self-depreciation, and an over-rated sense of his own importance.

But the thing I hate most is his lack of humour......you can get away with most things in life with a well addressed sense of humour....well I have!
