What difference does that make? (Sorry - this is a football forum and I'm going back on topic - after I've eaten).
Hull City Mad appear to be missing from the various groups represented. At last count they claimed to have 9,099 registered users.Could they be supporting the proposed name change?
As far as we're aware, no group is supporting the name change. City-Mad's total post count in the past week is less that the amount of posts we have on here on a single thread, in a single day.
Nick Thompson's numbers only make sense if the 70% "attached" are those people out in the general community who keep an eye on the results - much as I do for the Hull and Rovers scores. It's the other 30% that matter. The ones with the season tickets and shirts, who use the bars and buy food, generating almost all of the commercial income - the ones the club needs to keep onside.
How long has Thompson been involved in football to come up with that ****e? He doesn't seem to have accounted for the fact that many of the quieter types (with 'rituals') come for the atmosphere generated by the "more vocal" types.
Begrudgingly and accompanied by a fair measure of responses that infer anyone questioning why they have not been issued correctly is either a trouble causer or simple; it's happened again tonight. Could you explain what was in the head of whoever came up with the OSC supporters transparency angle when it must have been more than likely that it would incense those of us who wished transparency in our own membership?
That's not fair, I absolutely understand why people think we should release the full minutes and I certainly don't think those who request it are simple, they are just not aware of all the facts and they really can't be explained in detail without causing problems. As for the OSC statement, there are two fan groups who have been asked to make submissions to the FA, we are concerned that one of them will not represent their members, but will represent their own self interests. That being the case, we had an obligation to make sure that this was addressed.
I don't understand why it would cause problems unless... 1) You have signed something where you agreed the information that was discussed would be kept confidential, and breach of such would result in legal proceedings, or... 2) CTWD are holding back information that they do not want to release because it would harm their cause or lose them support.
There is absolutely nothing in the minutes that would harm CTWD, but there are things that could harm the club.
It is fair, as your further response shows; not everyone knows what you know. But yes, I understand what you are saying. You have said all you can about the minutes (again) and, unless there is something pops up to make it relevant again, I will move on. Don't let some adopted obligation (OSC members) lead you to lose the confidence of your membership; I've said before: the others can look after themselves. People picking arguments will not get us anywhere, it's the work that you, Obi and the other guys are putting in that will do that. For my part I appreciate that, although I will question where appropriate. Enough questioning though, time for CTWD to have a bit of respite; you know my opinion of AA - think twice and then don't trust him.
