While we´re in the pot It does seem my lot To thread a match thread together, So here goes again As the Canary train Sets off on yet one more endeavour Next on our cup trail That footballing grail Old Trafford, a -ish place, But if things rhyme As in recent times It may not be such a one-horse race They will have a chance Despite the new stance That Moyes has adopted up there, They´re picking up steam After he and his team Have taken over the Ferguson chair Big boots to fill And no doubt he will Take some time yet to find his feet, And as we know well New faces don´t gel Always, even for the elite But seriously though This exciting throw Of the dice, is good for our convoy, No frantic fretting About points getting Just a night out to really enjoy. Nope but Man Utd are - that is the only reason I checked on 1st Row, I had a sneaky feeling it would be shown for all the plastics around the world
I would like to see a full strength side put out tonight, as there is a really good chance Man Utd will play a reserve side. I would like to see us in the draw for the next round
chelsea vs arsenal is on the tv i believe regarding the team selection, i'm sure chris will make a few changes, the question is how much that will weaken us. e.g if whittaker, garrido and ryan bennett play, i'd be happy with that and it's still fairly strong for us. given tettey is injured then he'll bring Bradley into the midfield. Redmond to start?
I'd like a full strength squad as well, I think your right about the reserve players: I bet Moyes will have Januzaj as a sub though, he could be a real threat Oh and I'll be watching this in HD on my foreign subscription, 1st Row is pants.
If the FirstRow stream is blocked, it is also on feed2all.eu which is my current favourite. As for the team selection, the quality of players available is encouraging. Hoolahan or Elmander to rest Howson, Ryan Bennett or Martin at CB, Whittaker and Garrido at FB, Johnson at DM, Redmond and even Josh Murphy out wide. The depth of this squad is impressive.
He probably will feature and has been a great player in the past but I really hope Hoolahan doesn't play his form is too dodgy. Also Garrido please no, not a quality player in my opinion. We need a strong side, if we progress it will give the players a boost in confidence.
It will be interesting to see Redmond up against Zaha - to see where the smart money was spent in the summer.
I think any non-current first team players he brings in will be looking to impress so we should put in a good shift. I would like to see Elmander play so that he can exploit the Utd centre backs who have been shaky recently and I hope Snodgrass puts in one of his famous slide tackles on some Utd players. I wonder if they will play Ashley Young, who will dive for a penalty against us or 'wonder boy' Adnan Januzaj, who Utd fans think is the next Christiano Ronaldo because he had one good game. Man Utd away will always be a very tough game but if we play exceptionally well, we can win it. OTBC
agreed, the drought at the moment is worrying, I think Hooper need more games, hopefully he will feature. If CH can get Hooper and Fer to play together like they did during the Watford match we will be laughing.
Just saw that Snoddy made it into the WhoScored? Premier League team of the weekend: http://www.theguardian.com/football...european-leagues-review-players-teams-tactics No prizes for guessing which 'keeper got in!
loking forward to tonight.... just have this sneaking suspicion that we might get something out of this.....
Let's hope it's not a hidding ! If he goes fullish strength then we may be ok, but I'd worry if both full backs are changed ? I Just hope it's not another played well but got spanked game. Would take a goal from any one tonight not just the strikers!
Well chippy won't be happy: Bunn; Whittaker, R. Bennett, Bassong, Garrido; Snodgrass, Fer, Johnson, Redmond; Hoolahan; Elmander subs: Nash (GK); Martin, Howson, Hooper, Pilkington, Becchio, Murphy Reasonably happy with that to be honest. I prefer Whittaker with Snodgrass on the right, so hopefully it'll help Snodgrass get back to his best. If we play the same system as we have done of late, then Tettey/Johnson is a like-for-like swap, so it'll be interesting to see how Hoolahan does compared to Howson's performances of late. Not an easy game for Wes to try and force himself back into contention. United: Lindegaard; Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Büttner; Zaha, Cleverley, Jones, Young; Januzaj, Hernandez. Bench: Amos, Anderson, Rooney, Giggs, Smalling, Fabio, Valencia Büttner against Snodgrass and Whittaker could create opportunities going forwards, and I feel Johnson and Fer can win a physical midfield battle against Cleverley and Jones. Still plenty of dangermen there though, not that that's too surprising!
Big chance in the middle of the park I think. Leroy's got to boss it against cleverley and jones. Worried about Garrido against Zaha though as well as januzaj's form. Think the minutes for bassong is almost necessary, hasn't looked near his best all season
