The trust accept donations. Other fans groups, and websites including the ones the mods dislike have raised money, or got involved in projects. The mods also know who to contact elsewhere. It has been suggested before on this site.
If we were to give to a local charity I'd prefer a charity like 'Kicking Out For Kids'. Kicking Out For Kids' sole objective is to raise money for the care and support of children with life-limiting illnesses through fundraising events. Their main beneficiary is Childrens Hospice South West, whose motto is:
"Making the most of
short and precious lives
across the South West"
Those few words sum up the real reward for everyone involved with Kicking Out for Kids. With the help of local people, local businesses and some of the UK's leading sporting personalities, Kicking Out For Kids can create unique sporting events for all to enjoy.Through the generosity of those involved, Kicking Out For Kids can ensure that every penny raised, goes to those who need it most.
Personally I'd rather make donations to this than Shield Road under 12's
and has made me want to donate
think this wins hands downand has made me want to donate

**** it, I was going to post on the Mod - flogging thread and I had to go and make an ice cream for smallest massive - came back in and the tread is shut! anyway I still wanted to put my positive view over...
started off as a positive posting but you had to let yourself down by having a dig 'websites including the ones the mods dislike'. try posting without provoking posters on this site or simply your opinions are the reason to provoke?
Projects/charities if monies were raised? When my son is old enough to play for a team i'd financially support him and his club, as a school kid playing in the Bath + Bristol league the teams I played for didn't expect donations, it was down to the parents to support their children, surely thats 'normal' to want to help your child?
