I find it astounding that, all of last week all the mags that I work with (theres about 15 of them and about 7 Sunderland supporters), they were bigging it up how it would be an easy win for them and they were going to repeat the 5-1 drubbing or worse.

I got to work yesterday morning and most of the mags were off - I come in this morning and they are here - but - apparently - hardly any of these "die hard fans" watched the match. They all apparently have season tickets for their beloved club but they decided not to watche the Derby - anyone else think it's bullshit to try to avoid a ribbing!!

I have never "not watched" a Derby game either at the match or through an internet stream or live on TV or at the pub with my mates! There are some I wish to forget but, regardless of form, I will ALWAYS watch a derby game

Of course they watched, they just have no class and can't handle defeat ......... hence the regular 'Toon trashings'.

The excuses are unbelieveable and they've even trotted out the totally predictable 'being kind to our poor neighbours' ****e <doh>

They don't seem to realise they've played some **** football, played virtually the same team that suffered the 3-0 humiliation and have some very tough games coming up.

I'd laugh myself inside out if we finished above them and got to Wembley.

I work with a Mag , canny lad apart from that.

I passed him in a corridor yesterday , and politely asked him if he'd had a good weekend. He told me to **** off.

    Maybe something bad happened :)

One walked into our office at 5 o'clock yesterday thinking I had gone home - he did admit that he had been trying to avoid me all day. Another saw me in the canteen making a coffee and started saying how Fletcher fouled Dummy for the first goal so I started opening the cupboards - when he asked what I was looking for I told him "for some more straws for you to clutch at" - he wasn't a happy bunny

Why can't they just show a bit of class and say we deserved to win?

I can't remember Westwood having an easier game yet the Mags are starting to believe it was a giant killing of Hereford proportions <doh>

Their ludicrous boasting, before the game, made their horrible twisty faces all the funnier after the match.

Sadly I can't - our system has blocked the picture from showing :(

Smug - what's even better is that I turned around at full time and held "2-1" up in fingers and one of them was pointing at me, then himself and mouthing the word "Outside" then showing me his fist - well I waited around and he never showed up - spineless twats - maybe it's because I wasn;t wearing my horse mask!!

You must have been near us ...... we were on the North Stand walkway one block from the front and were waving to them for 10 minutes after the game.
Some of them were absolutely frothing at the mouth weren't they <laugh>

I used to work with a diehard Mackem who liked nothing more than a bit of ethnic cleansing.

His favourite was to hold layoff/downman notices for the mags in his extended team, and hand them out after derby day.

If we won, it rubbed salt in their wounds. If they won, it made him feel better. So a win-win!

    Top lad :)

Being pathetically childish I spent nearly quarter of an hour taunting them ........... which meant I had to drink at a faster rate, to catch up, when we got to the Victory Club <doh>

My neighbours is a dyed in the wool skunk.
One of the more reasonable ones though, never heard him swear either.
Always fair in his view of the match and said from the outset when Pardew was appointed he wasn't the man to take them forward.

I haven't seen him after the match until today.
So I shouted his name when I saw him across the road, with a big grin on my face.

He turned saw it was me and shouted back "Bastard!"

    Football serious business. :p

You wouldnt have been able to fling me in the air unless you have the strength of Geoff Capes. btw theres nothing "pathetically childish" whatsoever when your goading them b*stards. Very reasonable behaviour imo.
