A point away to Brighton isnt bad, should have been 3 but for a poor refereeing decision. Still though, we were ahead at the time and threw a possible win away. Looked the better team but lacked a cutting edge. Onwards and hopefully upwards.
Don't often say this, but the ref from Herts. is very poor. Lino should get down to specsavers in the morning.
The whole of the ball has to have crossed the line - from the camera along the goal line, it didn't. It doesn't count if the bottom of the ball (i.e. the south pole) is over the line, the side of the ball (i.e. the equator) has to have crossed the line. I didn't think it did - there wasn't a gap between post and ball.
Please, please,Please, please,Please, please,Please, please,Please, please, pleeeeeeeease can we have some decent officials? Please?
Well, even if the ref did make a couple of terrible decisions against us, I don't think we did enough to deserve a win. Far too much time spent under-hitting 5 & 10 yard passes - crazy on a wet surface - and the only one prepared to take the defence on was Fessi. Not sure why Anya wasn't used - the game was crying out for his pace out wide and willingness to shoot.
The still frame pictures show the ball to be clearly over the whole line. I don't think that Brighton are the worst side in the division, but some of our passing was very poor at times. One of the few results that I predicted correctly.
Sky Sports just finished the show saying we had a 'ghost goal'. No we didn't, it was the opposite, should've been given and wasn't!
Think we need to be much better than that on Sat. Leicester going too well and bloody Nugent always scores against us so we're 1-0 down already!
Did not manage to control the game for any length of time and did not counter attack fast or effectively enough. I am still happy with the draw and feel that on the balance of play it was a fair result. A fit and on form Troy Deeney would have made all the difference.
