Who do you think should be our first choice goal keeper for the start of next season?

For me it's still got to be Harper as he hasn't done anything wrong. On the other hand I'm not sure how long Krul will wait to be first choice. We can't assume he'll be as patient as Harper (but then is anybody as patient as Harper?). I can see Krul putting in a transfer request if he is told he'll still be number 2 next season. It'll be a shame to lose Krul. Maybe a loan deal could be offered.

  2. Harper and Krul should battle it out. Forster should be sent out on loan and if he doesn't like it he can **** off.

Harper. I think he brings more confidence and has better control. If Krul can pick up a few tips by watching him, then he's there

I would be tempted to send Krull out on a season's loan with the view to giving him the no.1 spot next year. This will enable him to get some valuable experience of first team football.

Although he has done quite well for us, I just feel that he needs to improve his kicking and his first touch when dealing with backpasses. He also needs to dominate his area more and I always worry about him at corners, but these things should improve with experience.

I think Harper will have the #1 spot, Krul is still young and can still learn from Harper, I think Pardew will give him the cup games and try and integrate him into the first eleven towards the back end of the season.

Personally i think the difference between Krul and Forster is beginning to grow, with Krul getting onto the international scene which will increase valuation.
I'd miss Krul more than Forster if he was sold due to nufc team exposure.

we better hope their goalkeeping skills are better than that

I don't think a decision should be made now as i don't mind which one it is. Hopefully Pardew will pick the best performing one in pre season

Plenty of time for this debate to reach a conclusion, Krul will be our number one in a season or two.

I personally think because of Harper's loyalty he should start the season at number 1
if he is found wanting a few times in his overall play (he's not usually a calamity) give it to Krul.

For the 12/13 season Krul would be my first choice keeper.

I totally disagree, i would have Krul an Forster fighting for 1 and 2, by rewarding Harpers 'loyalty' we could potentially lose one or both of our promising keepers and then when Harper retires in 1, 2 years we have to pay out to buy a new keeper.

Move Harper to the coaching staff and have him as third choice and send Soderberg out on loan to Harlepool or Carlisle

Both?! If Harper started the season as number one, Krul's hardly likely to force through a transfer in January if we told him it was Harper's last season as number one.

Krul should be first choice. Played more than Harper last season, ended the season in goal. Makes no more errors than Harper, but he is young and will improve. He is our only keeper who's an international, for the World Cup finalists.

Why risk losing either of them on a Harper who's not exactly a world beater, Harpers kicking is awful, he never gives the ball short, and he makes just as many mistakes as Krul does, by playing Krul he will learn from his mistakes, with Harper you cant teach an old dog new tricks

Pards will probably start with Krul in goal. He had the shirt at the end of the season and did very little wrong so it looks like Harps will have to wait for him to slip up before he can retain #1.

I want it to be Harper, but the shirt is Krul's to lose. He ended this season as #1 and is now a full international.

Harper should still be number one because hes our best keeper simple as that. Lets face it we all like krul but he hasnt progressed like he should of done when we first saw him, hes getting better but slowly. Im not convinced by him he was awful against west brom and he looks lost at corners at time and he prefers to punch and parry instead of hold the ball. Forster should be no3 and krul should be no2, there is noway tim krul is good enough to be our number one keeper yet.

Krul is our best keeper! Everyone has bad games, Harper against Stoke was one the worst goalkeeping performances i've ever seen. He is now an international. He is a better keeper than Harper and is improving all the time. He was basically our number one last season anyway.
