The blue knights offer was conditional on a CVA being agreed which is why duff and phelps rejected it as there was no guarantee a CVA would be accepted. Charles greens offer was non conditional which means that rather than your club being sold off piece by piece in an asset sale the whole lot could be sold in one go allowing for the staff to retain their jobs.
Conditional in CVA ? Really ? Where did you get that ? Green was made preferred bidder even though he came out of nowhere . As far as I am aware the Blueknights pulled out because they were getting no joy from D&P . The assets weren't sold until the club went into liquidation . In fact the same day as liquidation was announced . Do you honestly think Jim McColl etc wouldn't have loved to own 80 million quid worth of Rangers assets for a paltry £6 mill ? Nonsense .
As far as I recall there were several bidders who offered far more than the £5.5m which D&P said was an agreement already in place. I recall the Steven Hawking type chap (His name escapes me) saying that he had written to D&P long before liquidation, offering more than double that which Green - and others unknown bought - the assets for. When he heard Green and Co had actually secured the acquisition he spoke to D&P aghast that his offer had been ignored. D&P gave him no satisfactory answer as to why his offer had simply lain gathering dust.
It was Paul Murray that said his bid was conditional. The asset sale happened the same day because Green had signed a contract with D+P that, if his CVA failed then he would purchase the assets for 5.5m. There was no time for another round of bidding once the CVA failed as there was no money left to pay the administrators. As for Jim Mccoll its up to him but he could have bid like anyone else if he wanted to.
I mean he could have bid before the CVA was rejected like everyone else. D+P were running out of time so they made it that anyone bidding had to also agree to buy the club if there CVA failed. Paul Murray and the rest didn't seem interested in that. Most likely as you couldn't make any money until rangers are in the SPL and you would need to find funds until then.
Possibly but if any bidder felt they were cheated then they could have just went to court. Nobody did so I assume they were merely outbid.
there certainly seemed to be a wide range of shenanigans going on, from almost all parties involved - no need to list them here - what I do find amusing though is the high percentage of supporters and pundits who contort themselves any way they can in order to avoid analysing just how david murray got them into this mess in the first place
Oh, oh, oh, av got in idea. Let us talk about ****e that not a one of us has control over. Meanwhile, and here's the risk, we might just care aboot a fitba team that turns oot every week. PS. 'member back then when the sellic were goin oot the gemme. They sellic fans by fan action turned it around. They single handedly, each and every one, got it sorted. I wish we were like that romantic dream.
Eric pal you seem to be ignoring most of what has been posted here . The blue knights did bid for control of assets . They bid more money than Green . The people involved in that bid were upfront and open with regards to who would be financing the bid unlike Greens bid and actuall takeover which is still sbrouded in mystery . Tbere were otber bids better than Greens bid that were on the table and totally ignored by D&P D&P took £5 million out of Ibrox so there was no reason for any haste after liquidation . Their fee could have financed at least a months running costs easily . D&P and their administration of Rangers were at best questionable and more probably fraudulent . Here's hoping someone will be able to prove that . BDO or police Scotland perhaps ?
Naw, Naw, it wiz the sellic fans who saved the day. When it got down to a matter of hours before their club was closed down they produced the bunnet. I've lost count of the sellic fans I've talked to who were personally involved in the bunnet revolution. Fan power. I think it was all the same guys who were at Seville.
Issat the same Celic fans who sat around for decades as the Kellys filled their boots and Parkhead crumbled round their oblivious ears ?
Is there a point you're trying to make here mate ? Have you seen any denial of SDMs complicity in the demise of Rangers in this thread ?
as I`d said earlier I continue to be amazed at the general avoidance by fans and pundits ( not all, but the majority ) of how murray got the club into such a state in the first place... never said there was any denial on this particular thread
