Who's more desperate, Poyet or pardew? Poyet by the league table but Newcastle are the away side so maybe they left their away kit at home by '' mistake ''.
The ref could've made the away team wear their alternate kit, couldn't he? Can't see how something with white stripes and black shorts doesn't clash with virtually anything else with white stripes and black shorts myself, but if the officials want to make things difficult, then I guess that's up to them. Neither their navy blue 2nd kit, nor their Brazil-inspired 3rd kit would've clashed at all, so it seems like a fairly stupid decision to me.

Great result for Gus. If they and Palace can play like they have this weekend every game then there relegation may not be such a foregone conclusion.
Absolutely. I'm encouraged that Mata is back on the bench, just as I'm encouraged whenever Cazorla doesn't play. Torres starting is hopeful as well, though I'm not sure if Bah! or Eto'o is much of an upgrade. Doesn't anybody want to win this league? With Moutinho (and tbh sometimes with AVB), I think, "What you need to do is less. Just sit on your hands and let your team play." Also tbh I never had that feeling with Harry. Often it seemed it wasn't possible for him to do any less...
Eto has just lost some hunger and sharpness from playing solely for cash, plus he's a tad old! He will have spells like the Eto of old If he regains that hunger but over in Everton they have a striker who should be winning the league for the chavs!
There seems to be some sort of piss takey Halloween thing going on involving Bayern and Chelsea. The same group of eleven black robed fans turned up at the German side's game yesterday and Stamford Bridge today: please log in to view this image Going by the make up and the black metal inspired football logo, I'm going to guess that it's either a joke or a promotion of some sort.
Just had a quick browse around and they'll be at the Juve game, too. It's a promotion for something with the Twitter hashtag of #WINNERTAKESEARTH. A football in the middle of a biohazard symbol? Film or a game, I think.
Utd and City are both outside of the top 4 after 9 games. I think you'd get good odds on that staying the same at the end of the season.
No chance. City have played well in all their defeats. United have looked below par in all their games. Having played Chelsea and United, City aren't in a terrible position. They need Kompany back quickly though.
Ill put money now on Man City finishing in the top two, but only if the bookmaker would let me add a condition "that kompany plays 90% of citys remaining games".
I'd put money on City not losing at the Etihad to any of last seasons top 7. At this level they are comfortable at home, it's only in Europe where they struggle. They're not in a bad position, behind Bayern we are probably the strongest side they've faced thus far and they were better than us for almost all of the second half.
The current top sides have some interesting fixtures in the next few weeks. Next week - Arsenal v Liverpool, Everton v Spurs Week after - Utd v Arsenal Next set of fixtures (23/24 Nov) - Arsenal v Soton, Everton v Liverpool, City v Spurs They can't all keep winning, so there may be some movement at the top. In this period Chelsea play away to Newcastle and West Ham (neither easy)
West Ham had their one win of the decade against us last season, lightning doesn't strike twice. After the break that will be a difficult fixture for us though. Right now I'm just focused on Arsenal, Newcastle and WBA.
