No, despite that fact, we're not in with a chance imo, but we're enjoying the ride so far this season!
Luvgonzo was able to articulate it. Don't you wish to fight for the title? you must have a reasonable chance to win it surely?
He's really surprised me tbh JB. I'm quite happy to say that he's proving me wrong so far. What I particularly like about him over Moyes, is the fact that he's embracing the clubs history & talking the club & therefore the expectation level - up, as opposed to appearing to be overawed by it & constantly seeking to place it firmly in the past, & perpetuating the 'plucky old Everton' tag. Moyes behaviour at OT has seen him trying to do similar over the CL there ffs!
No. I did think you said it with the tongue firmly planted in the cheek... But it is amazing that everyone must be thinking it but dare not say it...
I always believed you were underestimating Martinez. Whether he's got what it takes to get you into the CL places is debatable, and that should be your ambition- but I think it's worth giving him time.
I realise you're just trying to get us to start on the "this year is our year"stuff so we can be shot down later, but I'll play ball for a while. It's far too early to get gobby about the title, although obviously we're chuffed with the way we've started and may start to think "what if?" However, many teams have been riding high at this point of the season and ended up in mid-table. We've beaten a Utd side who are misfiring, and lost to a Saints team who are on a roll (or a barm). The acid test will come when we play a few more of the genuine contenders, starting this weekend.
Definitely. If we can beat an Arsenal side currently playing some very good football, then I'll feel better about things.
Too early to start talking about the title yet. If we beat Arsenal on Sunday then we are pretty much nailed on to win it, so we will wait till then to start celebrations. #ouryear
