    Hell of a game for him to start but I think he'll be fine when he settles in.

    I liked the way he was overlapping at every chance and chasing Mags down in their half.

    What excuses has Pardew served up for their defeat yesterday then? Blame the wind and rain did he?

    Poyet put round pegs in round holes and kept it simple, rigid and disciplined. Basic tactics that Newcastle's manager had no answer to. Sometimes it feels better that way, the fact that you didn't put on a vintage performance is probably more satisfying, because you know that's the best Pardew can come up with and you lot will only get better. I feel a bit sorry for Newcastle fans, they invest a hefty percentage of their lives in their football club and they really could play some good football with that team if they didn't have such a clueless idiot in charge at every level. Oh well, never mind.
