just wondered as our stop start season continues............where would you like to see us by Christmas?

For me, club stability is still number one on the agenda..........I was disappointed that we conceded a goal so quickly today.......but undefeated in 5 is a good basis to start pushing on a bit.

Maybe, considering of our next 10 games only three are away........just maybe the lads can start getting used to laying in front of 15K + week in week out.

Top ten would be great, bp.

When you look at the table, no one team is running away with the lead in this division - there are only 6 points between the top 13 teams. If we were to win our game in hand, we would be only 6 points off the top !! Talk about close.

    Exeter [h] – W
    AFC Wimbledon [a] – D
    Scunthorpe [h] – W
    Southend [h] – W
    Hartlepool [a] – L
    Wycombe [h] – D
    Newport [h] – D
    Bristol Rov [a] – D

13 points, giving us 30 points from 21 games.

Last season, after 21 games, Rochdale were in 12th spot with 30 points

    Looking further afield.

What do we need to achieve to reach the playoffs?

I reckon the target would be to average 2 points/game at home and 1.5/game away for the rest of the season.

    17 home games: 10 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats = 34 points
    16 away games: 7 wins, 3 draws and 6 defeats = 24 points
This would give us 75 points in total [a tad optimistic in my opinion].

For the past 5 seasons, the side finishing 7th in League Two has had the following points tally:

    2013 - 69 - Bradford
    2012 - 72 - Crewe
    2011 - 68 - Torquay
    2010 - 72 - Dag & Red
    2009 - 69 - Shrewsbury

My first instinct was to say "a miracle" - judging by the erratic way we are currently playing.

However, once/when we finally 'gel' as a team, things should improve somewhat. We do have a squad of players with a bit of spark about them, so as long as we can hang on to the likes of N'Gala/Racon/Cooper/Marquis, etc., we could just about make the play offs.

I'd 'like' to see us in the top 6.

I think though that we are likely to be in the top half of the table by Christmas....... which will give us another 4+ months to reach the play off's <ok>
