BRIGHTON v WATFORD Brighton take on Watford in which I assume is a televised game on Monday night. Brighton haven't had the best start to the season but they have recently bolstered their attacking options with Leroy Lita joining them. He only came on for the last 30 minutes in Brighton's last outing, a 0-0 against Yeovil. Some might also remember a certain winger and keeper who now play for the south coast outfit. Watford could do with a win (couldn't we always?) after losing to Derby in the last few minutes. However, this time round maybe three influential players will return, Abdi, Deeney and Anya. Also, I think Faraoni is back from suspension. Therefore I predict a good away win, 0-2 to the Hornets, as we play a bit of catch up in the table due to the other weekend's fixtures below happening beforehand. Friday: Middlesborough 4-0 Doncaster Saturday: Barnsley 1-1 Sheffield Wednesay Huddersfield 3-2 Leeds Blackpool 2-2 Blackburn Bolton 1-1 Ipswich Burnley 2-0 QPR Derby 1-1 Birmingham Leicester 2-1 Bournemouth Reading 1-1 Millwall Yeovil 3-1 Notts Forest Sunday: Charlton 0-0 Wigan So, Seagulls v Hornets or Ãscar v Zola if you want to give it a more continental twist. Views welcome enjoy the game!!
I did see a stat saying that when Doyley has played we have not lost this season. Let's play him somewhere please!
i'm hoping for the same M Frenchie. Unfortunately the weather could play an important part in this one with gale force winds predicted for Sunday/Monday...it's possible that it could be postponed, though from the forecast i saw tonight, the winds could die down by Monday evening. Faraoni will be back and hopefully playing, Doyley needs to start (coz we don't lose when he does!) and i'm guessing Deeney will be back, though i thought Fabbrini did well last week, and Abdi sounds doubtful. We should be able to do this...and i'm going for a 1-3 Thanks Mex, great thread
Nice one Mex - I am going for a 1-2 win. H - are you going? I am getting the train down with Little Miss W_Y, will be down in the afternoon for a spot of lunch and then off to the game.
Points to thing in our favour, to start with anyway... On another note, yes he is not with us now, but a great win for a certain S.Dyche today. Hats off to Burnley
I think more referees should react like that - the way the players acted was disgraceful. Didn't see anything wrong with the penalty decision either...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24605440 Deeney, Anya and Abdi all available for selection it seems.
Hopefully Doyley will play in defence - we look better with him there. Also Anya's pace will be useful and of course Deeney. I'd like to see Murray start as he did well after coming on against Derby but then not sure if that would be defensive enough in midfield for Zola. Hopefully the weather won't affect what should be a decent game of football. I wonder if Abdi will be on the bench - don't see Zola starting him straight away after so long out.
