Leicester are red-hot this season, having played 13, won 9, drawn 2 and lost 2. They beat Bournemouth 2-1 on Sat and are sitting pretty in 2nd place in the Championship.

I can't imagine Berba, Ruiz, Bent et al being particularly up for a mid-week trip to Leicester and playing on a cold, boggy pitch (most probably in the pouring rain). Unless Jol has given the players a well-deserved kick up their bums and we pull out another Palace-type display, I can't see us progressing in the Carling Cup...which quite frankly, isn't a bad thing. That will be one less distraction, so we can focus on Prem survival.

Leicester are 11/8 favourites to beat us on Tues night (which seems like a massive price).

Leicester have got a fine pitch mate.

I agree though, 11/8 is a massive price for them.

Display like Palace. The display against Palace should not be taken as a reference point.

Very true madness. Can I amend it to the 20min 2nd half spell against Everton? I'm struggling to remember our last decent 90min benchmarkable performance!

Our pitch is as good as anyones in the country or world. Our owners spent 1M on it the other season as we name use the same technology as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Wembley and others

Our groundsman also won groundsman of the year last season

i think it will be a tight game but I think you will edge it

IMO you have too many "Berbatov" type players and not enough "Scott Parkers"

Cheers for the input Fox. As for the pitch, I was inferring that the weather conditions in the night and recent downpours may not suit us. Glad your pitch is top notch, the fixture has got the potential to be an end-to-end competitive passing game (if both teams turn up). Bizarrely you fancy us and I fancy you to nick it!

You're spot on with your Berba-type player assessment - a rebalance and clear out is drastically needed. We've got a young Costa Rican international that goes by the name of Ruiz on our books, very talented and yours for only a snip of a price at £10million! Perfect for when you get promoted next season....I'll assume you want him and the cheque's in the post ;)

Honestly, you couldn't be more wrong.

Say what you like about Leicester, but we've easily got the best groundsman and playing surface in the league. We spent £1m on the pitch only a couple of seasons ago.

Edit; Should have read the entire thread before posting <ok> <laugh>
