Can't believe in the latest news, but there again it is Newcastle.
Officials at NUFC have been banned from talking to the journo's from Chron, Journal & Sunday Sun in retaliation for their coverage of the T4C march prior to the Liverpool game.

Is Ashley trying to alienate everyone in Newcastle, because he sure as hell is going the right way about it. WE ARE A JOKE CLUB.

This lot that 'run' the club are so utterly pathetic, childish and inept you really cannot believe they have been able to become so successful.

It's baffling, you know they just simply would not get away with it at any other club or even in any other industry frankly.

So now it's a case of trying to veil their idiocy by trying to silence the local sporting press. Who is the new head of PR at the club, Paulo Di Canio?

Seems to fit his fascist leanings beautifully...

Have you heard of Vincent Tan, Peter Risdale, Ken Bates, Charles Green?!

Not saying its right, it is a typical Ashley move, probably backed by Joke (and I doubt Pardew had much say, all he probably "agreed" to was to go along with it...poor bastad.)

Spot on here. It will be JFK as he hates the press.
Interesting that although having a DofF title... JFK is nothing more than a sounding board for MA's ideas.

Exactly. And he's the sounding board because Ashley likes every sound that bounces back.

I think it's clear that whatever the fans WANT to happen at the club - at least anything that Ashley has a hand in - will fundamentally not happen. For example, as we clamour for more communication, the silence grows ever louder. I mean, we couldn't get Joke to shut up when he turned up, but now we want comments, anything from the man in charge? Nowt. Nada. Not a peep. We moan about it, he cuts off more communication. Very frustrating situation, so I prefer to think of Ashley as a spoilt, petulant child - just ignore the bad behaviour and eventually it'll stop.

The mantra "Support the team, not the regime" is a perfect adage, but then we seem unable to just live by it, we have to keep bitching and whining about the owner, like its going to achieve anything. I'd rather we built up to a match, watched a match, talked about that match, then rinse and repeat. Simple and will remove a lot of these headaches.

I expect things to stay as they are for at least the rest of the season and probably the season after too. We can't get Ashley, JFK or Pards out so we have to put up with the lay of the land.

    It really isn't you know.

You can't support the team without supporting the regime because of the money you're pumping into Ashley's hands.

Every time someone turns up at SJP it's money in the bank for the fat-man.

Well of course, but honestly this is on a different level I really believe that.
In terms of a regime overtly and unashamedly damaging the club's reputation and also kicking the fans squarely in the teeth, I've never seen anything like it.

Those guys you mention there for the most part didn't get away with it did they?
You know it's one thing playing foolish with the finances of a club when you get giddy striving for success and another completely in trying to trash a club's proud heritage while pocketing the profits.

Very seldom do you have a new DOF announce his appointment on tacky radio station interview, before labeling the customers he is serving as intellectually inferior.
Just another incident in a unthinkable array of astounding decisions since wrestling ownership of this club.

They are holding bloody brilliant fans, good people to ransom and laughing in their faces as they do it. Now the victims can't even find sympathy in the local press...
How dare you complain about it to people who are actually willing to listen!

Here's a wild idea, stop trying to silence a press you give naff all access to anyway and speak to people funding this sham – THE FANS!!!

Over the top reaction, even if the march was a waste of time and not helpful. The papers did give it disproportionate coverage but that is their job. Latch onto a story. Seems a bit petty on the part of the club.

If the over-blown coverage only served to highlight a poorly-supported, minority protest – didn't it actually serve as positive PR for NUFC?

Banning the local press surely only serves to undermine that theory whilst providing a great recruitment drive for the next protest.

Doh! Another own goal for Fat Ashley's Black and White Circus...
