look at his record in the championship he's not had many good seasons at scoring goals. Is to hot and cold to be classed as a top player, can do it but does not Do it enuff We should have cashed in on him. That 3m would got us becchio back and a winger. What planet are you on? You cannot possibly rate NW as a manager after his nightmare stint in charge. I don't care whether its after sales. He chose to sell Clayton (Lonners was homesick) and he sold clayton for 500k and brought in Norris for that money. I know who'd I'd rather have, but he continued to bring in all of these CMs of equal ability. Lets be honest, would any of us care if we sold any of Tonge, Green, Norris, Brown, Peltier or Varney all of which NW bought or triggered a contract extension (in the case of Brown). They were signed just 12 months ago, we haven't improved as a club and none of them are first team and are all useless and are not capable of playing in a promotion winning team. I would expect any club regardless of where they finished the season before that spends 4m on players (and thats not even including our January spending remember) to be competing for the play-offs minimum, we were relegation candidates last season because of Warnock's tired old style tactics. How can you actually back that manager? We weren't offered 3m for Ross, what are you on about? We were offered 1m on the first offer from Middlesborough, pretty sure there final offer was 1.8m. That wouldn't have gotten us much better if anything given the fact that Ross is already a custom to the club. And plus, Ross offers a lot more than just the goals he scores. His cross for example for Austin's goal against Brum and his constant running off the ball, in fact I remember last season that in the games before he got injured against Cardiff he had the assist for every single goal we scored (Becchio scored the majority of them).
I don't know what games you've seen this season (or weather it's been highlights, tv, in person ect) but the games I've seen Ross has been our best player this season. Yeah he missed a few chances against Brum but look at the chances....first one he was completely side ways to the goal with keeper rushing out at him, second one was a fast low cross from Rudy which by the time he had control of the ball he was way out wide so was pretty lucky to even get it on target, third chance goal. I fear people only judge him for what he does in front of all (which is fairly good got 6 already this season) rather than his all round play. His passing his fantastic and you can see he's loving been the main man at the club just by the way he'll take on a player with no fear with superb ball control. When I first saw him under Grayson he just looked a traditional striker with a strong shot now he can dribble, he can pass, he can shoot. I honestly don't know how people have anything to say bad about him.

But you rate a manager that has less points at the same time this time last season, out the cup, beat by Huddersfield with out its top scorer and got beat 4 on the spin? That never happened with nw in charge. We are doing worse with same team and he's spent more sold no one. Nw had the harder job, he did not have a base to work with and had to make a new team from nothing!!! He had to sell players just to get some in, and had to put up with a takeover. He was doing fine till becchio wanted to leave. Yes you are right it was 1.8m not 3M my mistake, but it's still good money to turn down if it was in one go for a hot and cold player. Could got becchio and a winger/centre back and transformed the team from that + the 1M he spent on a player he's dropped twice and the other up to 1m that does not even get picked. Becchio has scored more in half a season that what Ross has all most in 3+. Ross offers other things but we needed a goal scorer and a proven one. Maybe it's the reason we only picked up 9 points out of 27 points?

Mighty, yes we Should have beaten Huddersfield. That we didn't just means BMD will have had words with Murphy and others. He's also likely to make a couple of changes to help clarify the situation for the likes of Murphy and Pearce. I think, however, the whole team will have been left in no doubt about what will happen if we dont beat Yeovil, especially as we're at home. Some gentle WUMMING from our 'wall fans is always to be expected. But at least you've got somethink akin to bragging rights after last weekend. Expect a return to normality and the Whites express back on track after this weekend.
