10 years ago it wouldn't have been considered a bad start but it is now. You have to start seasons well. Chelsea are now in a fantastic position to top the table heading into the International break given fixtures that remain.

I thought Ivan deserved a mention today, played really well, and as for Nevill, giving Aguero man of the match above Torres shows you exactly what a feckin helmet he is.

Yep I agree about Ivan, he played a blinder as well. I think I heard Neville say he wanted to change his mind afterwards though, as he asked if he was allowed.

City dominated that second half and was the better team. They deserved at least a point. Even Jose said they are the best team in the premiership. So to be 2 points off them after such a poor start is not bad.

This is the most open race in the premiership ever! There could be several teams in contention in the last few months of the season.. <ok>

They don't dominate the 2nd half. Once Mikel came on we were the one's going for it. We had Torres miss, Torres hit the post, we scored 2. Other than their goal what chances do you recall for them?

Not really. 2 points off City is FACT as a recent Chelsea manager would say...<laugh>

Dominated. You should really stop watching football as you clearly know **** all.

Yep he sounds like the Sky pundits alright, wouldn't know a football match if one hit him in the eye.

    <doh>

Football is a game of opinion. The sky pundits gave the first half (just) to Chelsea as they made mire chances and said City controlled the second half. For me too the most likely team to score the winner was City. That said you need luck sometimes to win these high profile high pressure matches. Hart made a schoolboy error which gave Chelsea two extra points.

As a Chelsea fan, you will have viewed the match in a different way. I was more neutral than you. <ok>

You used the word 'dominated', which is total bollocks.

As for being neutral, are you ****. You've got a weird obsession with chelsea.

But I thought you said there were more than two teams in the title race? Why are you measuring your progress against just one side? Mediocre Moyes is also four points behind S'oton <laugh>

Just like I said you read the game like a complete imbecille as do most of the sky pundits.

Very good win and everyone worked extremely hard all game. Torres finally put it together, great game, could have had 3.Still a couple of niggles, though hard to criticise after the result.
Cahill still not quite good enough especially when paired with JT. He and JT together way too slow, and, as I suspected, Aguero left them for dust more than once. Time to think very carefully about replacements for next season. JT is playing right to the top of his abilities, but father time is a tough opponent. Lamps and Ramires pairing just doesn't work against top opponents, still need to find the link player, then both can play their natural game. Ramires was tireless again , but he's a tad reckless.
While Jose has, arguably, improved Torres, he has inarguably done the opposite to Hazard, who has not adapted at all well to Joses style so far.
We earned those points the hard way, so big improvement in attitude of the Team, which is playing for each other brilliantly. Thought we might win this one, and we did just that, we fought for ,and got the win. Great result.

We were always going to be put to the test today by serious PL contenders! MC are always going to be the team to beat for all clubs this season! It might have been a death struggle but we came out the other side with 3 points! This was, apart from our away fixture with them, the game I felt least confident with....and we came up trumps! I feel we are in with a big shout for the PL now! <ok>

First of all well done to all. A massive 3 points. Big games from Brana, Oscar, Torres and especially Ramires who in my opinion gave his best display of the season so far. A big up to City as well in fairness. I still think they are the team to fear. Just slightly off the subject....delighted for Gus today in the early game. He was always one of my favourite players. All in all a day that sets you up for the week and puts a pep in your step. Up the Chels !

Domination was the 90 minutes City played against United last month, at no point were they THAT much better than us. If we had gone in 3-0 up first half there could have been no complaints, equally if we'd lost 2-1 no complaints either. Strange game of football.

It is just amazing that Neville thought Aguero was MOM. Here in Oz, the match was on Fox which is Sky spelled differently, and they must have shown Agueros' goal 6 or 7 times, even in the last 5 mins. Good goal, no doubt but why show it over and over??
Have to say I am now with those who think there is an anti Chelsea bias. Wish RA would buy Sky and put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Soooo pleased with the result. Just hope we can take advantage when the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal start playing some of the bigger sides too.

No good beating City to drop points to a West Ham for example.

Need a big win at Newcastle next week, this was a match we lost last year. Get the 3 points then we can look forward to watching Liverpool, Arsenal or both drop points later that night
