Well kickitoff - all I can say is, thank god McNally has got more sense than you lot, who apparently can only see to the end of your noses - childish and ridiculous scare-mongering, wonder what you´d be like if we really were playing badly.
All I can say is thank God we got a post from you that isn't in fecking rhyme for once. It has become evident that unless you toe the line with the Socialist Worker type clique that exists on here you will be ostracised. FYI It's not scare-mongering RBF, it's a realisation that unless change happens soon we will surely be playing Championship football next year, McNally must do whatever it takes to ensure our survival. Football nowadays is a ruthless business, survival of the fittest, do whatever it takes to win even if it means sacking a genuinely nice guy. He is paid 'danger' money that's what his salary is, if we were 'playing badly' as you put it but winning games, that would do for me. I'm livid the 'goal' yesterday' was disallowed, in fact if we are relegated and those two points would have kept us up, I'd sue the arse off the Premier League, the Ref or whoever for those lost millions.
kickitoff, it would be really interesting if you would just reveal to us all what makes you so sure that changing the manager would guarantee survival, rather than ensuring Championship football next season. You are certain that if Hughton stays, we will be relegated. You are apparently certain that if he goes we will survive. What on earth makes you certain about that?
Not certain at all, I just think that we will have a better chance of survival if we change manager. Look, come on, as I've said before his win ratio is absolutely atrocious isn't that enough ?
Not really necessary was it, you write how you like, I do the same, so I´ll rephrase my last post if you like. I´m glad it´s not you When and if the time´s due To evaluate Chris Hughton´s seat, Who´ll decide his fate For with so much hate He´ll be outside within a heartbeat. OTBC
KIO I know what your going through mate and I know how gut wrenching it can be! I have read a lot of posts on here that seem to say that you shouldn't be worried as the team is playing well! Yes they may be playing well but they are not getting the points and that is all that matters. Playing well yesterday but only getting a point is not good enough especially at Home against a team that you should be beating! Yes I know my views don't count on this board which is fair enough but I just wanted you to know KIO that as a like minded passionate fan you have every right and justifcation in expressing your sincerely held views!
So if we are playing well, how can a new manager improve us? Changing managers never go down so well as Wolves and QPR will tell you. As I said before, it's ok to express your dislike but there are a few who are going over the top and actually becoming a bit aggressive.
Fair Play KIO we have often crossed swords in the past but I can also see that if they were to cut you open you would bleed Yellow & Green! On the face of it CH has spent a heck of a lot of money in the Summer and so far it hasn't worked or had the desired effect and questions need to be asked about whether CH is really the right man for the job!
The thing I do not understand very much is why people seem to be blaming yesterday on Hughton. I do agree we should have put two up front a bit earlier but when you play cracking football, create a copious amount of chances and fail to score, how can the blame lie on the manager? I've very much been on the fence with Hughton, and I am yet to commit to whether he is what we need long term but after the last few weeks my opinion on him as a manager has gone up. Because of this, I gather that these people moaning and booing are panicking. Honestly, how anyone could have booed Hughton yesterday needs their head testing. I've never seen Norwich dominate another Premier League team like that and due to poor finishing we didn't win, the game plan was spot on, the line up was spot on but there is only so much influence a manager can have and actually putting the ball in the back of the net is something that is out of his influence. He can help the team create chances with his formation, strategy etc. and he did that spot on yesterday.
I think this forum has got a bit weird and gone downhill to be honest, I've posted a thread because The bottom of the table is starting to catch us and we are failing to pick up the points we need and I get called stupid by a mod and given a job lot of slap heads. If you don't tow the line you get slated and insulted personally and it's a joke to be honest. You can bet your arse if I started calling people stupid at random and kicking off I would be kicked into touch. Ok, everything is fine and rosy in the NCFC garden. If that's what you want to believe that's fine, but it's not reality I'm afraid. We have one 8 games in 28 or so and despite substantial investment in our front line we can't hit a barn door with a banjo. I've never resorted to personal insults but it doesn't seem a problem to some on here. People say I should chill out, I suggest they have a good long look in the mirror.
I don't think any of us believe every is rosy and fine, I admitted myself I'm a little bit worried. But this thread is a bit embarrassing and and a massive over reaction.
It's not embarrassing to me. I'm concerned about our inability to pick up the points we need to get out of trouble. As is the way for the last year or so we have to rely on others to cock up more than us to do well. So if we loose or draw with the hammers but put in another great performance and Sunderland win again what will you think then?
Not necessary as far as I´m concerned, but you might like to read this article from Gary Gowers, which to me sums up perfectly the sort of unlevel playing field Hughton is having to deal with right now, which he could well do without imo. http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...ters-as-the-keyboard-warriors-mobilise-again/
Actually no. You should focus on his points per game ratio, not his win ratio. Last season we won 10 games out of 38, a win ratio of only 26%. Yet we finished 11th because the points per game ratio was 1.16. Last season at this stage our ppg ratio was 0.78; this season it is 0.88. Your certainty that we will be relegated if he stays is ill-founded. And if, given time, he approaches anything like the points per game ratio he has achieved over his managerial career as a whole (Newcastle/Birmingham/Norwich), we would be looking at the top half of the table without question.
