I will be disappointed with that, no way did they deserve the three points. Sagbo looks twice the player Soldado is as well.
It hit his arm and his arm was raised. His arm was close to his chest and he was clearly trying to get the arm away from the ball. It also seemed obvious that he in no way did it on purpose as it seemed to go off his leg and then into his arm. It could be that from the refs angle it looked different but from every angle they showed it on replay it seemed obvious it wasnt a hand ball. Trouble is that when that happens the ref can just see it different from everyone else.
Brilliant effort. A poor decision by the ref has cost us a point. Need to get a point or three next week against Sunderland.
I wonder if you can sue a referee for losing a bet because of him dictating a result with pathetic wrong decisions.
Very big game, we need to be taking points from Sunderland. It may be a bad time to play them, but it would be a big three points.
Referees again inconsistent Elmo harshly penalised (ball bouncing up from leg to arm) Joe Cole gets away with a more blatant block with his arm in the West Ham penalty area.We need instant replays to help them get the decisions correct.
I don't agree, yes it's **** when it goes against us, but it's what makes football interesting and keeps people coming back.
I watched the Sunderland v Newcastle game and the biggest threat they offer is definitely Stephen Fletcher. If we can contain him we should get the 3 points. Altidore was causing problems and falling over all the time to get free kicks. Also Borini's goal was outstanding.
I don't know, I'd rather win a game fairly than have a talking point. There are a billion and one other things to talk about after a game than the refs performance. An instant replay would assist the referee in making the call, at least then we'd know it was right. We now have goalline tech, why not this?
I think this is the reason some were sceptical about goal line technology, how far does the technology go before it takes over?
It depends on what the technology does. If it's there to improve the game, then why wouldn't we want it introduced? Some teams get some mental decisions against them, but if we had replays to show the ref (the referee could ask for a replay at their discretion), then at least fans couldn't moan or kick off. They have it in Rugby and NFL, so why can't we have it here?
I don't want replays because of the stoppages it would cause but I certainly don't agree with this nonsense that **** decisions are what makes football interesting.
