It's a funny thing, Eire, but I'm actually feeling a lot easier this season. I have the growing buds of hope for the future, but the realism to expect a rocky ride on the way. I wouldn't quite say that I take it all in my stride - I still have a few little hissy fits, but it's nice not to have the shocking results that have always just been round the corner of late. Either that or the bastards have indeed ground me down!
True. Last season we looked every bit relegation material, especially after Xmas. Possibly McD arriving when he did saved us that fate. We're better than that this season by a fair bit. Not so sure glory. If gfh were in charge, I'm not sure id trust them to reinvest much of the 60m parachute in the playing squad. Whoever the squad were when we did our season in the pl would likely most move on and were then back building from scratch. When we go up, we must be like Swansea and Southampton and be equipped to stay
It's £90 mill and you sign the cream of the promotion squad for two years on improved deals as you go up. Spend £30 -40 mill on new talent. And bank the rest just in case. Then buy back ta and er if you stay up.
