Jose will not play any of the starting 11 if he has another cb other than Luiz to play.

He might even stick essien there and so he should, League Cup is pointless for European teams and losing van Ginkel last round shows the dangers.

 

If Kalas is fit i'd have him in for Cahill!

When the draw was made and the game moved to 2 days after this Jose said he'd play the u21's. Doubt he'll go that far but I wouldn't blame him if he did.

There were rumours of both Omeruo and Kalas being in the first team squad this season but i know they've been injured. The game might be too soon for them but if they are fit it'd be nice to see one of them play.
I'd play Baker in midfield aswell, whenever i watch the youth games (Chelsea and England) he stands an absolute mile.

 

I'd like Luiz, Mata, De Bruyne and Ramires to play and Torres/Hazard not to play.

Would be a shame to lose Torres to injury. He'll have a field day running at that Newcastle backline on Saturday IMO.

 

Can we borrow a few of your squad players for Tuesday? as we don't really have much depth beyond the first XI and we could do with giving some players a rest too
