Well done to SAFC, played the only style of football today that would have got the result. Derby day is massive but your lot need points first and foremost and to try and outplay opponents with fancy, flowing football is not going to work. It's never going to be like that when you are low on confidence. Borini's goal was the only moment of quality in a frankly horrible, horrible match for both teams. Deserved winner.
Sunderland were up for the game whereas we strolled about looking like we couldn't care less. Hate to say it but better team won although it did look like a draw until that piece of brilliance from borini.
Cannot agree that we were unlucky. It didn't come down to luck, it all came down to one thing IMO, desire. You guys had it and we did not. You deserved your win and your three points. This may well be a spring board for you to push on, for us Mags it appears to be more of the same inconsistent and passionless rubbish.
