Terrible decision to bring him on, they have to forget him for the time being. Apart from that though I couldn't really blame Pards. I thought it before it started, nothing has changed. Both teams are not very good.

Seeing Shola smile sickened me. He smiles because he is on £25,000 a week and has embarassed himself consistently for 12 years. Its so, so wrong having him still here.

I'll accept that this may be seen as heresy but I am starting to have doubts about Krul now too.

It's galling as we embarrass ourselves every week, shelling out to pay his wages.

    No wonder he's smiling!

PS: He would also have been hailed as a Mackam slaying god on here had that effort crept in, so fine lines...

Gutless, clueless, half arsed attempt today. Just don't understand why the team are so lacking in spirit. I could tell after the first few minutes that we just weren't going to turn up again today. What more incentive do these players need ? The bench was weak and to some extent that is not Pardew's fault, however, he ignored the one obvious substitute that should have been given some game time in the second half, namely Anita.
Benny looks slow and heavy, no impact at all,
Krul did the best he could
Dummet, inexperience showed, we should not have been in a position where we had to play him, but we were
Debuchy, played quite well, l felt he tried
Santon, bottled out to many times for my liking
Willo, made some good blocks, but his distribution is woeful and he gives the ball away more times than he wins it.
Sissoko, what on earth has happened to him, missing in action, soft and weak
Cabaye, reckless challenges, over confident shooting, inconsistent
Tiote, looking like his old self with each game, but, must stop dithering and fanning about
Goof, not at the races today
Remy, weak and ineffective, no work rate
Cisse, can he get any worse? My Granny could knock him off the ball!
Ameobi times two, shouldn't be on the field, just past it and not good enough
Pardew, cannot raise his team for the Derby game, then when can he bet a response if not today. His pre match interview was dispassionate and negative, too many hopefully's and maybe's. We have developed a soft underbelly which is being exposed over and over again. Embarrassed today, not because we lost which is bad enough, but because these players show no sign that they care.

Sissoko is a total shadow of the player who graced the pitch against Chelsea last year. WTF is up with him?

Completely agree, Sunderland did want it more, despite the fact that we do have the better team with more talented players. They showed more desire, they worked harder than we did. Simple really, but still beggars belief that they cannot maintain any semblance of consistency. What happened to the gutsy team that would not lie down and be beaten last week, even though they were down to 10 men ? That's what really pees me off. It really does. Makes you want to give them a really good shake and wake them the **** up!

Cisse was a waste of space and might as well not have been on the field.

Goodness knows, Pardew doesn't get the best out of these players for some reason, and today has made an embarrassment of us again.

Unfortunately, given 99% of his posts were personal abuse to posters and mods alike this chap has been given a free holiday to chillout land (I stress holiday.. not perma ban)
We welcome debate... even heated.... but this fellow crossed more lines more times than Pardew wishes in terms of player signings.

So we'd be down to Sammy, Saylor, Raylor, Campbett, Dummet and maybe Willo then fella?
I get your sentiment but emotions are raw as hell right now, and quite understandably so.

We need to lose the flops and Ashley needs to spend in the window or we are screwed.
