I agree that most of our defeats this season have been deserved, but yesterday can be considered unlucky. One of the positives to take from the game was the number of chances we created, which we weren't doing previously. We also have more pace in the side, and an urgency which was also lacking previously. Zaliukas will tighten things up at the back, probably at the expense of Lees. Eventually the 'hoof it up to the big guy up front' mindset will be gone, and a more measured approach along with more incisive passes will become the norm. This was when we were at our most dangerous yesterday. The last two games have been such a big improvement on the depressing dross of the previous ten or so games, at least we're creating chances now, and six goals in two games is promising, as is the new formation. Zaliukas to organise things more at the back, and I can see us averaging two points per game between now and the end of the season. Let's see where it takes us.
Look at the positives....if Warnock or Grayson had been in charge we would have had at least had a 5-0+ loss by now (see Leeds 0 Birmingham 5, Leeds 3 Forest 7, Leeds 4 Preston 6). We may have lost a few but least the extraordinarily embarrassing results have gone and we're playing some good football making it difficult for opponents to walk all over us like they have done in the past.
I never saw the game but according to many we were rubbish yesterday and according to the stats 4 shots on target, Huddersfield also only had 4 on target 3 of which obviously went in.
They were Eire, my youngest first away game(unless you count Drogheda away) they had a great day and were looked after by the lads from the Plantation pub whose coaches they went on. I'm glad to hear that they are also the most un PC lot...
Irish lads hungover!! I don't belireve it Hope yer lads had a good trip Shako, apart from the result obviously.
Cheers Este, they had a great trip, the slagging was great, no PC bollox and the lads from the Plantation pub were brilliant...
