Do we want Newcastle to win and keep Sunderland on one point? Or hope for a draw to keep them near us? And is it too early in the season to look at other teams results? Questions!questions!
In reality, it's too early. However, I would personally like to see as many clubs cut adrift or at least with a large number of points between us and them to claw back, even at this early stage of the season. I'm working on a point a game basis to stay up, so we are ahead of the game for now - others are not.
Yeah it maybe stops potential transfer targets picking them over us! But it could all be changed after a couple of wins? I'm saying come on Newcastle!
A couple more games at this rate, and Palace and Sunderland could be well and truly cut adrift. All the time their points per game required is creeping up and up
Sunderland have picked a strange team today and Newcastle are looking weak at the back. Tipping Altidore to score but Newcastle to win. Basically having two teams cast adrift by Christmas would be brilliant for us.
The bloke was sentenced last week for that so he'll miss this one! Don't know if it went national but local news in the North East had an interview with him a while ago trying to justify his actions. One of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Said he'd lost a filling which is why his face was covered up. To be fair, it was only the horses chest and the sturdy beast would barely have felt it. 'Felt nowt' as I believe they say in that part of the world.
Newcastle to win, hopefully smashing them by 3 or 4. We need Sunderland to be utterly bereft of confidence before they face us next Saturday. November looks like an important month for us - Sunderland at home, Southampton away, then Palace at home. We must get at least 6 points there, especially since our first two games in December are against Liverpool and Arsenal...
It's time we sprung a surprise and beat a top four team. Maybe this wind will turn the game into a lottery ?
What did he get, a year? Because it was a police horse. Could have punched out national treasure sir Trevor Mcdonald and got less. Wasn't even a ***** style jaw breaker.
I will definitely be to our greater benefit if Sunderland lose. The last thing we want is for their players and new manager to be buoyed by a derby win over Newcastle.
