Which Suarez incident are ou refering too specifically, theres been a few! I heard a similar thing (probably from the same source) but I am not too sure what it was Ade actually did so cannot comment really. All I can say is that he is a very expensive player to banish from the squad, with I would gues something like another year or two on a contract he is happy to see out. If he plays the odd game and gets some interest I can see that as a good thing. With Benny, we had a club willing to take him so he went with the thinking that we had Rose, Naughton and Verts (and were possibly going for coentrao too)
Which is probably way some view Avbs stance on ekotto is a fairly cheap one, if hes prepared to allow Adebayor in the squad based on his value.
One aspect might be that they seemed to be partners in crime on the indiscipline front, so removing one them might drastically reduce the problems. As we couldn't get rid of Adebayor due to his wages, that only leaves Assou-Ekotto. Not really that bothered by the decision to move him on, but not selling him or replacing him was a mistake.
I agree,we should have brought in a specialist L/B,maybe we thought we had one tied in with the Bale transfer
Successful teams create a relatively stable atmosphere. I get the feeling we'd have ditched Fergie after a year or two. Meahwhile we've finished behind our rivals for umpteen years in succession while they've had one manager and we've had umpteen.
Lennon was best in a 4-4-2 with Bale wide on the left; any other permutation restricts his potency. His capacity to perform at his best is fragile. I don't see how he fits into AVB's defensively minded 4-2-3-1 formation, which only has width if the full backs push forward. A square peg in a round hole at present.
Lennon gives AVB the option of going 4-4-2 late in games, if we need to chase a goal, which is why I see Lennon as playing nothing more than a bit-part role in the new-look Spurs.
http://www.insidefutbol.com/2013/10...ham-hotspur-manager-andre-villas-boas/105735/ Avb rates Lennon highly, always has, last season was the same when Bale was getting attention, Avb would always talk up Lennons role in the team. Lennon knows he has to fight for his place but some are being premature in assigning him to the subs bench. He's only 26, not even reached his peak.
The important thing this season is that the "loss of shape" nonsense whenever Lennon is out, stops. To date with the current squad this finally seems to be the case.
Or at least it certainly will be the case once we get our left side sorted again because Naughton at LB is royally ****ing us over in that regard right now IMO.
I think Rose was looking promising at the start of the season, hopefully he can keep it up when he comes back from the injury.
Spurs have a perfectly good left back who is playing for QPR at the moment. I'd hate to think that the decision to send him there might contribute to Spurs missing out on Champions league, by one or two foolish points come May. Naughton is not yet ready to play in a team with top 4 aspirations....... AVB ?
And I think we've been fine with Rose or Jan, and **** with Naughton. So I'm guessing Naughton will start today.
