Take care everyone. Looks like this huge storm tonight and Monday will head North East across the country. Probably not a good idea for anyone going to the game to leave too late. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/hurricane-uk-full-force-storm-104043269.html "But meteorologists are now certain it will strike the south west of England and could leave a trail of destruction as it gusts north-east across the country, causing structural damage, and bringing down trees and power lines."
Batten isn't it not Batton? Winds getting up already, hope people stay safe and don't take it lightly as thats when accidents happen
Harper or Lloris today?
Reminds me of an own goal I scored once, gale force winds and I cleared it off the line, ball went up and flew back in the net over my head
My most vivid memory of a windy game is much happier - it helped me score direct from a corner that started off heading for the edge of the box.
I took a free kick from the edge of my own area, the oppo keeper was off his line and was gutted to see the ball sail over his head and in.
I couldn't claim mine as intentional. I spotted our right winger in a bit of space and their left back very narrow so as I launched a majestic cross field pass, I shouted "Kev, get on this". Only to see the ball get blown like a golf slice straight past their keeper.
