Morning all from a breezy and rainy bandit country. Busy day ahead, going to take the pa-in-law out for a drive and pop into Costco to pick up some bits and pieces. Then stop and get some lunch at his new fav establishment - McDonalds! He just loves a BigMac and chips! Some sad news last night, my cousin rang me and told me her old dad had passed away. With his passing it marks an end of an era on my dads side of the family, I have no remaining relations from that generation. Considering my dad had 9 brothers and 3 sisters! The old fella was 91 and had had a good innings - funeral is on Tuesday at St.Pancras crem on the North Circ.
Just want to say good luck to Hornette taking part in the great south run tomorrow - I'm sure she'll be competing with the ebst wishes of tye forum. The weather could be much better of course but sadly there's only so much that you can control. All the best H
Good morning all from a wet and windy Weston-super-Mare! Have you changed your clocks? Have a good day!
Morning all, very windy here this morning. Nothing like the weather being forecast for England this evening, so hope that all is well with you.
Nothing at all like it up here either. The headlines all say UK or Britain brace themselves, but none of it is due to affect Scotland. Perhaps the result of next year's referendum has already been decided?
Morning all from a bright but VERY windy bandit country. It's a day to watch the leaves get blown off the trees and hopefully over the fence and into the fields beyond! I watched the Soton v Fulham game last night whilst waiting for Mrs W_Y to get ready, have to say they looked very good.. Good luck H, hope you had the win behind you! Thanks for the condolences - very much appreciated
Yep - very windy here in sunny NW London. Poor old Michael Fish has been wheeled out onto every channel this morning to discuss whether or not there's going to be a hurricane tonight... Take care everyone wherever you hapen to be
Morning all Already blowing a gale here. It seems to be blowing all the leaves in Hampshire into my garden and then giving up when it gets to the fence...
Hi all. jerzeypie brought his laptop with him to England. We went to see Hemel v Sutton yesterday - seemed strange being at a game where fans changed ends so they were behind the goal they were attacking. We didn't bother moving, so we were in a more crowded terrace in the second half than the first. A link to the thread about former WFC players and staff: Jordan Parkes is HH club captain but was only a sub yesterday and came on halfway through the second half.
I am already in possession of a leaf mould mountain...EU compost prices will fall if they get to hear of it.
