I don't do it for fun! I do it as they are vermin. I had wrens, robins and lots of other small visitors to my garden. These bastards kill them eat a tiny portion of their innards then go off and do it again. They are worse than pigeons as far as vermin go, pigeons **** on things these decimate local wildlife.
That's just nature though mate: they are natural predators living in the wild...However, domestic cats on the other hand are not, and kill a hell of a lot of wildlife..These should not be allowed as household pets..
They are getting to plague proportions mate. A few years back you would be lucky if you saw one or two, nowadays they are all over the place. They are officially classed as vermin and can be legally shot!
I hate magpies as much as anyone mate, and I'm quite aware that they are noted for being thieves, vermin and dirty disease spreading scum. However, I never knew the bird variety were as bad as you say..
