Currently estimated wind speed in my area at its peak is forecast at 36mph for 5am Monday morning. Certainly a lot less than originally predicted but not taking any chances bearing in mind it was October, when we had the great storm of 87. Prepare for the worst and hope for the lesser.

 

Too right brb. Cant trust these forecasters! How many times do they get it wrong.

 

After many trips to the states, certainly the place to go for frequent and proper storms and have experienced a few scary situations, even having experienced one where you would fear for your life but just don't get the time as your looking for a place of safety. One good thing is the doppler system they use which takes over the airwaves. Not that it really helps you once already in the midst of a storm. 36mph lol
