Yeah it's not bad, though I'm not sure that I completely agree with the last segment about direct attacking. Nonetheless a decent enough analysis.
I had noticed that our foul rate was high. Interesting what is said about our low booking count being due to the area we commit fouls...cynical in all other teams, smart in Saints.
The press helps with this because we're more likely to be close to a player when committing a foul. Bookings are more likely when a player commits a tackle when leaving the ground
I had certainly noticed the increase in long balls from last season-but I thought that was a positive. Too often we wanted to walk it in and I remember Hanson quoted Bill Shankley ( I think) that it "wasn't about the short ball or the long ball, but about the right ball". That's what we are finding now- the right ball. Good article and I agree with pretty much all of it.
