I want 3 points, everyone going on about beating a big side, yes Spurs are a 'big' side, but Liverpool are bigger, and are our nearest contenders at the moment, so beating them sends a big message. I don't see how you can just say you'd take a point, this is a home game, against a rival, 3 points is what we want, if you're already thinking you'd be happy or take a point, then that's not really a team that can be considered as real contenders. Big teams go into the big games at home expecting and wanting the 3 points.
In the 3 games of Liverpool-United-Dormund, we need to be winning one of those games minimum, we need to be beating the big sides this season, something we weren't so good at last season, especially at home, when we only managed to beat Spurs 5-2, other than that we failed to beat Liverpool, United, Chelsea, City, and even Everton.
good good .. all adds to the pressure on the chavs and spuds to win ... shame about the jammy bastard scum winning today , ah well
The seemingly ineffectual Bale subbed after an hour. He's playing in the middle of the front three, which begs the question: why was he signed for such a high price if he's not going to play in his preferred position? Ronaldo will forever occupy the left attacking berth after all.
To take your Q further to show how ******ed Madrid are, not only did they sign him for that price, but it also led to Ozil having to be sacrificed and sold! So when you add that dimension to it, shows how much more worse the deal was....Anyways, worked good for us, thanks Tottenham!
That's the thing - Ronaldo is better on the left, Ozil would have been better in the middle, Marcelo is better at left back (though I doubt Real ever had designs on signing an £85m defender...) and Benzema is better up front. What were they thinking?
We don't need to win tomorrow. Every man and his dog expected Arsenal and Liverpool to win today. The important thing is winning at Newcastle. I genuinely couldn't care less about the result tomorrow, more concerned about performance and how we handle ourselves in what's really our first real challenge of the season in this league.
Toughest game of the season coming up for us, but for the first time this season we should have Gerrard, Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez playing together which is encouraging. You're playing great football and deserve to be sitting top of the table, but hopefully we'll spring a surprise or two and nick a point.. Hoping for extra-time against Chelsea! Have a good evening lads, enjoy MOTD.
Lol I like it, the insurance policy, so if you lose now, well you didn't care, so you got insurance.....but if you win, woooooooooo **** alllllllll ya'lll hoessssss CHELSEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WE **** WHO WE WANT.
