talkSPORT: "Look at the top four tonight. Wenger, Rodgers, Pochettino and Martinez. Four coaches who preach pure footballing philosophy."
Yeah, Rodriguez maybe a little bit ahead of the rest. But what an all around superb performance, I can hardly believe it. We made a decent Fulham side look like San Marino!
Dejan Lovren on Twitter: "Omg what a performance today of the team!! It was a pleasure to play today what do you think? "
Lallana's cross on the second goal was a thing of beauty. The way it was inch-perfect, the angle he played it, all of it. Have to watch it a few times on replay to really appreciate it. Rodriguez's positioning and timing of runs today was much improved. The spacing and understanding between he and Lambert was excellent, and both deserved both a goal and an assist. But just like at Man U., I don't think there was a MOTM. Everyone on the team was excellent and did their jobs perfectly. Fulham made it way too easy, but this is the kind of game we might have "dominated" but not won earlier this season.
I was half afraid that this would be one of those games we should have walked through but slipped up instead. We walked it. What an incredibly professional performance. Saints really are the team of the moment, and the future.
Stan Collymore really banging the drum for Saints, thinks we can go far. Also asking for Saint fans to phone in, he says "about time you had five or six lads in the England squad isn't it?" Listen here if you want to: http://talksport.com/radioplayer/live/?popup=1
Yes, I'd say steve79 is poster of the day with that contribution! I'm looking forward to his predictions for the next few games.
So... if Tom makes his prediction, and then I make the thread - we will dominate and meet his prediction? After you then, Tom...
Ha.if i predict the next game wrong, dont hold it against me,or turn into an angry pitchfork weilding mob
So, after all that, we're second last on MOTD. After last week, I expect the editing to show us miraculously scraping a win despite constant pressure from an unlucky Fulham. Not that I think they could find the footage, so they'll need the Fx guys working overtime. Vin
Seem to remember one of the commentators saying that Saints are in their highest league position since 1989? (or was i 1988?). Means Saints are in their highest position in my lifetime (1991!)
I think the problem is that the game was so one sided that it was probably a tad boring for the neutral!
