I wonder if Moyes will make a bid for Goofy in the January window? United need to spend some serious cash if they are going to get any where near top 10, this season.
It's not Moyes' fault, though. His only mistake was to believe that he had anything near what it would take to step into Fergie's shoes; but if a man could be shot for have delusions, Merseyside would be wiped off the face of the planet. No, it's United's Yanky owners who are to blame for what United has become, and will be for many, many years, now. It is they who were stupid enough to be talked, by Fergie, into giving the job to Moyes for no other reason than the fact that he is Scottish. They might just have given the job to Holloway, for all the good it was every likely to do. I really cannot believe that United's army of plastic fans believed that Moyes would be anything other than a disaster for their club. It's not Moyes' fault that he is not up to the job, because he never was. It's not as though he failed, because he was never going to succeed. It's the Glaziers who need to feel the full force of the plastic wrath.
Something wrong the rules there really, you can elbow someone in the nose whilst jumping and get a three match ban and cheat by stopping a scoring opportunity and only get a one game ban, it's the wrong way round IMO.
All it took to come from 2-1 down at home to Stoke was get Cleverley and Nani off the pitch. And chuck on Valencia just to be sure.
So United have come back from being behind twice against a team who would be in the relegation zone if it wasn't for goal difference. Big Deal!
The results haven't helped United, because, so far this weekend, all the teams above them have won. Perhaps Chavs will lose, and give the legions of plastic Mancs something to cling to?
EL CLASICO LIVE Barcelona v Real Madrid The big match in Barcelona is under way. Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar all start. Catch all the action live here.
Berbatov 32m, carrick 18m, ferdinand 30m, rooney 25m, rvp, 24m, nistolroy 25m, fellani 27m, hargreaves 18m, veron 20m, and you criticise other teams for spending money?
United have played Chelsea and City already this season and fielded more expensive sides against both. Not that their media would let that get out.
Because you include Rooney and Rio bought 10 & 12 years ago whilst overlooking the £500M plus spent by Chelsea (and City) on players in the intervening period who have susbequently been discarded. Utd's spending is nothing compared to Chelsea or City. It barely matches Sunderland over the past 5 years. Or was it just because Torres didn't start?
My current top five reviews on Amazon for Ferguson's book: 5.) Decent read. Nothing more. Alot seemed toned down or missing, I'm guessing on legal review. Still worth a read if needing a book. 4.) Thought he had more class/integrity/money than to publish this, but there we are then. Still, interesting enough, but not one of the better football books. 3.) I won't waste too much of anyone's time as this book simply is rubbish. It's poorly written, horribly biased and full of unsavoury comments. Definite waste of time and money 2.) A big let down, the ranting becomes boring as hell after a while. I'm hoping for a bit more from his next book, 'Angry old man shouts at cloud'. 1.) I was really looking forward to reading this book and gaining some insight into what it takes to keep a team at the top of professional football in the EPL. Instead, this book can be summed-up in the following manner: gigantic hypocrite soils himself.
