Jamie Redknapp says Lambert must be in the England squad.

He also says for the forthcoming friendlies, Roy Hodgson needs to call up Lallana, Rodriguez, Clyne and Shaw.

He says Shaw is the new England left-back...

I disagree. At the moment, Baines is the better player.

Class perfomance and a easy 2-0 win. Could have had far more but there was no need to step out of cruise control second half. The way we are playing atm is nothing short of amazing, I can't see how any one can complain.

I thought Clyne was exceptional today. Well, they all were, but was especially impressed with Clyne. Also can we put the Wanyama doubting a bit further to bed after that. He barely misplaced the ball at all today (and in fact I thought outperformed Morgan in that sense).

Really exciting watching this team at the moment. Superb.

Jamie Redknapp comparing us to Tottenham, saying we can now keep hold of our top players because Cortese will tie them down.

Saints not a selling club etc.

My oh my! Can anyone remember the last time we embarrassed another team as much as we did tonight? That was a piece of piss. Second half we looked like we were at a training session, hardly even got out of second gear, we didn't need to! Absolutely brilliant. Special mention to Big Vic, sorry for ever doubting him. Didn't put a foot wrong today. For me, not one of our lot scored under 8.5 for that performance.

After surprising a few teams in the last couple of months, I think Mauricio Pochettino's side might get a bit of a shock themselves.

    Lawro bang on again <laugh>

Wanyama must have had passing lessons! He even did a step-over dummy to allow the ball to pass by him to (I think was) Shaw! I do think that he had a better game than Morgan today. Jay had a great game - he oozed confidence on the ball; some lovely touches. Thought the whole team played well and the early goal was a bonus because I think it settled us into a nice confident tempo. Overall; a great team performance.

Just got back from watching the match at a mate's house in HD on a massive screen. Rodriguez man of the match for me - he was outstanding. Followed closely by Wanyama and Lambert.
