Lee Dixon spent the first half hour of the second half talking about how good Saints were, and then even he ran out things to say and the last ten minutes were played pretty much in silence.
One of our best performances...deserved more goals. 19 Chances to their 1 chance. Thrilled for Rickie...a goal and he had a good game. JRod too. In fact, no one had a bad game. Third and the worst we can be after tomorrow is fifth. We are the real deal.
I didn't watch any of it. You were all particularly excited by the performance in the first half. Was it not as good in the second or was our finishing just not good enough to get another goal?
It had the look of many a Sir Alex-era Man U win...put to bed in the first half, after which the team just dicked about to kill it off. Didn't create nearly as many chances in the second half, largely because they were just casually passing the ball around while Fulham got progressively more frustrated.
Had to go out to work almost right on the button when Saints were coming out to play, and I've finished about 10 minutes ago. I did keep a few tabs on the stats, so I know we outplayed Fulham. Quite excited to see 90 minutes and/or highlights.
