We played really well for the first 50 minutes or so, really should've been at least 2-0 up at HT and certainly 2-0 up after 5-10 minutes of the second half. After that our midfield just disappered, which was not helped by the referee. In the 14 years I've been watching Wycombe, his 'performance' today was up there in the top 5 of the worst refs I've seen. Cowan-Hall & Kuffour were constantly being manhandled by the Bury centre backs, Kuffour was hauled to the ground after 10 minutes in the area, free kick given to Bury! The red card shown to Bloomfield was totally unjustified, 50/50 challenge which didn't warrant a yellow for either player, never mind a red, I'll be shocked if it's not overturned on appeal. Credit to Bury, they made the most of their chances, but we really shouldn't have lost.
Agree with most of that Tom but by 55 mins changes should have been made as they had by then got on top Deano should have come on for Kuffour then their centre backs wouldn't of been able to manhandle him so easy and I would have brought on Wood for Blooms as for the red card seen it now several times and Blooms had pulled out of the tackle and their right back made the most of it including all the rolling around on the deck at worst a yellow the ref didn't take into account of the conditions as the lineo couldn't stay on his feet as for the worst ref he was no different that any other we have had this season I've seen us 7 times and they have all been CRAP
Gaz did need to make changes much earlier in the second half when Bury started to kick on, but the ref was truly appalling...their centre-back was all over Kuffour a couple of times, twice right in front of the plank in black, and he only booked him after the sending off when he was being booed every time he went near the Frank Adams stand. It seemed to me we got yellows and a red for far less! Behind the dug-out I saw the ref tell Jepson to relax, just a few minutes before he sent Blooms off. Just saying. Personally, I would have bought Morgan and Max K on earlier, but I work in an office and have never kicked a football in anger!
Yes I think everyone in the ground could see that changes needed to be made except the one's that mattered
